I have the steam version of IW, I've specified the my documents folder containing the user.ini file and also the steamapps file. The resolution has changed fine but the FOV and the HUD are both still the same. This makes the game unplayable, any suggestions?

Sorry, sometimes the Steam versions of things have a different executable, and any mods you introduce arent going to work properly. I still have the original disc version so I'm happy. Maybe the OP will come back in and say he's working on the Steam version as well.

Unrelated topic:
I found the widescreen patch for Baldurs Gate 2 and can now properly run my game at 2048x1536. The official resolution setting never worked properly for me. Game always crashed. I am glad I can now play my two favorite games on modern hardware.

Download 1.2.0.0. Also, are you pointing to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\deus ex invisible war"?

Also, some screen shots from everybody would be nice, so we can see whats working well and what isnt.

I use it on Steam versions of both Deus Ex games and it works great. There really isn't a difference other than where it is located.

What was the problem?

Would love to know, I tried using it for IW on steam, going to c--->blah blah-->common-->desus ex invisible war

Now my game won't start at all :\

---- edit ---

NVM, fixed it. Had to install as administrator.

It's not working for me. I get an "Unhandled exception" error.
"Exception from HRESULT: 0x800A004C (CTL_E_PATHNOTFOUND)"

I tried both MyComputer/C/ProgramFiles/DeusExInvisibleWar, and MyDocuments/DeusExInvisibleWar, but neither worked.

Try C:\ProgramFiles\DeusExInvisibleWar, sicne neither of the paths you are listing are actual Windows recognizable paths.

No, just enter everything thing in and take a screen-shot. You either are not inputting the right path or you aren't selecting the radiobutton.
