He tossed in a few characters that require a shift key, so we know that his shift key works...

Did they put all the English classes in the senior year of your high school? Just tuggin yer meat there. You sound like your pretty skilled when it comes to computers and electronics, go to a community college and get a degree in EE or CS or whatever (don't forget the English classes). Then at least you'll have a college education, which will put you in a better position when it comes to jobs. Or just start your own RC car or computer business, do whatever you'll be happy with.

Edit: Look at the previous 3 or 4 posts, they can be your motivation to get a higher education. Don't end up like those jackasses.

i dont know what to tell except that if you really want to go to college you shoud of course you would have to deal with all the typical college stuff like partying and chicks which of course takes time away from studying and then you end up skipping classes and not learning that much like i use to skip english all the time and its not like its really affected me in anyway because i still write just and good as any of these other people good luck

If you not sure yet what you want to but want to start college then take the core classes that most degrees are going to require (math, accounting, english, etc). If there is a remote chance of doing your our business then take plenty of business classes and little law so you can understand some of the things that will be required of you. Hopefully by this point you will at least have a general area of interest so you can focus your energy one or maybe two areas.

Good luck!

Man, when I was 17, I was so desperate and lost I couldn't tell. I still feel the post-effects of it. I also suggest you just need to go to college.

Jesus, the kid just wanted some help, you don't have to nef it up trying to be cute because his post is full of grammar mistakes.....

Anyway, I would apply to a college man, or start a small community college and then transfer to a university. You don't want to waste the talents you have in some shady job. Go get a degree and make some money and a life for yourself.
Good luck.

Hey man you said it, not us! If you were such a champ at English you'd probably realize that being well spoken helps bring your point across :)

Anyway booster is right. Aren't all 17 year olds desperate and lost? I was!

Grades don't mean jack here in the real world.

If you want to be taken seriously, present yourself in the best way you can. Punctuate properly, use your shift key like you're supposed to, & in general present yourself as a responsible, intelligent member of society.

Go to college. A bunch of people delude themselves into thinking a college degree won't do anything for them but it can work wonders. Just do something practical and try to have an idea by your second year of what you want to do.

I was desperate, lost and mildly depressed. Feeling better now that I'm 18 though, and looking forward to leaving for college is helping with that. If you got that kind of average you can go alot of places, I'm heading down to Tulane and that place would probably guaranteed to give you a good time...

That is true. Althogh I still maintain my psychology degree has benefitted me in no way directly having a BSc on my resume has helped get a job and will only help in the future since the sort of field I'm in and will be likely to be in in the future will look favorably on people who have blown 4 years in university. Unless you start your own company when you're up to get hired having no degree will be a big black mark against most employers. Whether it should in practical terms or not is beside the point.

if you are that smart, why can't you think up something you can do?
no one can make decisions for you.
it all depends on you.
you might choose something now, but who knows, maybe you would find something more interesting half way through your learning.
you should just get into a college and see where it takes you from there.

btw, i don't think the few punctuations will slow you down that much.
they all come naturally. ;)

Somehow these two statements do not equate. If you are intelligent enough to get a 4.0 and take an AP English class you should have enough common sense to know which colleges you would like to attend, without having some overworked and un-caring counselor tell you what to do.

With a 4.0 and AP courses I am sure you should have plenty of choices when it comes to choosing a school.

A college degree will take you far, a degree from DeVry or ITT Tech will not. College is a place to broaden your horizons, nobody wants to be one-dimentional in any aspect of their life. Go to college, learn about other cultures, learn how to appreciate shakespeare, just learn period. Get a degree and feel proud that you not only know how to administer a linux/unix/windows server but can actively particiapate in coversations regarding philosophy, physics, art, and music. Trust me, all these things come in handy in the real world.
