Was looking for someone to maybe take over a few months of my lease left so I went here.. http://sandiego.craigslist.org/sbw/

Some of them pretty heartbreaking..but the one below was pretty bad:

That husband might be able to get a job if he got new pants, cut his hair, threw away that hat, took a shower (probably), shaved, and wiped that shit-faced grin off his face.
 
san diego's got a lot of hippies for such a small city, when i was there I saw a pawn shop next to a sex shop in the city center. Never seen a pawn shop that big before.
 
Their trashy appearance doesn't help with the sympathy. Nor does it make me confident that any living space made available to them would remain livable after they left.

Really, that picture doesn't help.
 
I don't really think the picture is that bad. I mean, if I tried to imagine a family that could barely afford to pay $500 in rent for a shack, it would probably look worse than that.

If I had a garage I'd consider it but I'd want to meet them first. They do look like hippies but there's plenty of hippies that would be fine to rent to, as well as plenty of normal looking people that would be terrible to rent to.
 
If they can afford the $500 can you really complain? Of course you would have to meet them first.
 
They look like hippie vegetarian douchebags, I wouldn't touch them with a 10-ft pole. Maybe for $500 a month and if his wife and kids do chores around my house and he tends my lawn I would think about it.

I also suspect that once inside my house they'll be deadbeats and stop paying the rent.
 
I'm confused as to why this man's haircut makes him some evil asshole. He could be the nicest guy on the planet, but this condescending forum doesn't care about any of that.

The real problem is you can't tell if its all a lie or not just to get more people to offer him a nice place for cheap.
heart breaking stories more often than not get far better responses or better options.
i don't trust anything on Craigslist. never even go there.

blue collar != office. don't be so fucking stupid. i know it's hard, but try. if the guy was really that interested in supporting his family he'd get a hair cut and quit flipping burgers.
