This has always been true, by the way. When MLK was alive conservatives HATED him despite him doing nothing more than urging people to peacefully protest.

A conservative is a person who having been exposed to excessive shame as a child can't tolerate anything that might suggest he or she should feel it again. Because the feeling of shame is deeply repressed and the source of their sickness, they will live lives that bring them shame so that they can relive their trauma vicariously. Having been split as children, by permitted and taboo feelings, we seek out conflict to maintain to strengthen our defenses. Mental illness as accompanied by the inability to relax. Sickness thrives on conflict.

For a bunch of white guys who so admire the flag and associate with the military they were all too willing to allow Trump to trash a POW and gold star families.

I for one am tired of how the entire country infantilizes conservatives. It's always that they are good people who were tricked by Trump, or that Democrats were so mean that they had no choice but to do something shitty, etc. Conservatives are human beings with agency and they should be held responsible for their choices.

They thought it was disrespectful to the flag....a lot of white families have cops and military members in it, and the flag is sacred, like hollowed ground.

I will repeat again they were cool with

Trump denigrating a POW (military)
Trump denigrating a gold star families. (military)
Capital police being beaten within an inch of their lives. (police)

These people just want to suck Trump's dick and hate on minorities. They have no core values except those. That flag isn't as sacred to them as they claim.

That's why my second sentence reflects closer to reality about those people. Trump gives them an excuse to overtly express how they really feel. Wasn't so cool when Obama was in office. They felt the same way back then but were quieter about it.

Then why are Black men and Latino men supporting Trump then? Why are celebrities like Lil Wayne and Eduardo Verastegui supporting Trump?

To be honest and fair, I could see Britney Spears running for governor as a Democrat. She has been thru a lot of legal hell, probably knows where the corruption is in the court system, without even a law degree.
