Dems didn't lose white men primarily because of race, but because Dems don't offer them anything

Estrada is one of the best actors in the world, he is in telenovelas, etc. He's huge.
Lowe is big too, he is on 911, a cop show, so obviously he's gonna take offense to Kaepernick.
Verlander and Upton are seen as American patriots, they don't want politics in baseball. Just play the game. Baseball is seen as a patriotic, old school sport. The likes of Kaepernick are not welcome there. Verlander made it specifically clear, and his wife, who goes to games as well.

It's not shut up and dribble, but it's more like, what can white fans do about it? Do you notice hockey doesn't have this problem?

BS.
Verlander posted his "all lives matter" in response to Kaepernick kneeling .
And then apologized for being the dumb, uninformed jock he is/was, and for being a white privileged male who didn't understand the reason for the kneeling.

"Verlander later apologized for using "All Lives Matter" in a hashtag, unaware of its racial implications in attempts to undermine the message behind black lives mattering.

Nearly four years later, Verlander can look in the mirror and acknowledge his privilege.
Now, Verlander understands that given his privilege, position and platform, it's not enough to just be not racist. Rather with his level of influence, it's important to be anti-racist.

"Over the past six, seven years that's shown that it's not enough," Verlander said. "There needs to be change in our culture. And I think bringing attention to that the way we did I think is a good way to do it."

It’s just weird how obsessed this guy is about race. Also as someone who has lived in NYC for the last 13 years he sounds like someone who read a Wikipedia article about it.

Race is always important in NYC. The Gottis were known as a racist, antiblack Italian American mob family in Howard Beach, Queens, etc.

WTF?!?!?! You think white people should not care about the plight of their fellow Americans? The fact that systemic racism is playing with their very lives.
WTF kind of lowlife are you?

Damn, I really wish you would GTFO of this forum.
Everytime I read one of your race baiting posts it makes me throw up a little in my mouth.

So let me get this straight. White people shouldn’t care if all citizens get equal rights?

That’s what you are saying

Only to racists like you. I spend a couple weeks in NYC every year and experience and hang out with extremely diverse groups of New Yorkers and none of them give a shit about race.

They should not care about it in sports, off the field yes, but not on the field.

Race matters, I wish it wasn't but sadly it does.

That’s a guy who finally learned the correct lesson. Yes, it’s woke but JV is onto the correct response.

Woke is just recognizing the problem

But what can Verlander to change things?

The Great Michael Jordan NEVER did those things as a player, and he is one of the most powerful Black men in the world.

So that’s your answer, nobody does anything and the problem persists.

I know you want that but recognition is a start to healing

Everybody rich and powerful?
Hawt damn, if only somebody would have told us white folks.

76% of Americans are living paycheck-to-paycheck
Oh, wait...

Maybe you should step back and stop stereotyping people. When most people are in need, it does you no good to try and pit poor people against each other. Especially by pretending most of them don't exist. Are some better off than others? Of course. But they could ALL use a better and stronger economic safety net. Better social programs to create a raised floor, better than we have it now. People could be inspired to vote for their own interests if only we had the words and the campaign to drive those points home and convert them into votes.

It is an effort that has grown too weak in the Rust Belt and other rural communities. Yes, they aren't "poor" like inner city. But their lives are one sick day away from ruin. All our people could benefit from more expansive Democrat Party economic policies. Do not turn them away because they are white.
Whom do you think controls over 90% of the wealth in this county?

Hint, it aint people like me. Thats my point. White people should be last on the aggrieved train.
