Seems like a extended version of Warcraft3's DoTA map, has anyone tried the beta (from Stardock Impulse) How do they like it?
 
I haven't even heard of it before, but I did just install Impulse yesterday heh. I'll check it out.

edit: wait... that Demigod? I'll definitely check it out.
 
It's from Chris Taylor, so it may *hopefully* be decent. There was a pretty tantalizing article in GFW magazine a while ago.
 
I have been following it on the GPG forums since it was announced. I am curious to see how it turns out.
 
After the terrible Space Siege I'm less excited for Demigod. I'm just not sure if there will be enough game there to warrant a purchase.

The other thing that bothers me is the levels are all 2d planes. No hills or water just flat planes to march across so it looks pretty barren.

Best part is the collectors ed is $50 while the normal version is $40, and you actually get some decent looking stuff from the looks of it (for $50 at least). Oh, and not to mention it's a Satrdock game, so no DRM besides a serial number for online play! I'm gonna pick it up right away I think.

Edit: It's scheduled for release on April 14th!
 
I dunno I get a real bad fealing about this one. I cannot say why I just get the same feeling I had before Tabula Rasa was release. Odd game, no real media relesed little talk about it.....I hope I am incorrect.
 
Why didn't Chris Taylor just take the SupCom formula and convert it into an AoE-like game? Set in the ancient world. It would have been so awesome. ARGH.

Now, its some piece of gimmicky crap instead. Game devs piss me off sometimes. FUCK YOU Chris Taylor.
 
Demigod preorder is now a few $ cheaper with free shipping at amazon, then ordering from stardock.
