my assumptions were based on standard and widescreen screen dimensions not necessarily the screen resolutions.... the max resolution for the standard is 1600x1200 which is actually 4:3 the max resolution for the 2005 model is 1680x1050 which is 16.8:10.5 not exactly 16:9 but close...

please take my calculations with a grain of salt because im basing my numbers on the max screen resolutions assuming that they reoughly approximate the actual screen dimensions. Some of this is speculation and can be disputed if the actual screen dimensions are not acuratly represented by the pixel resolutions.

However, it is safe to say that, by some margin, the 2001 will have some percent greater viewable area than the 2005

FYI, today 12/8/04 on http://www.techbargains.com/ has a coupon for $40.00 off, so I call dell and ask for the additional $40.00 and they gave it to me, so my total price is $595.21 w/shipping&tax. One happy person....

you know ive been a member of dell SB for awhile now and never got this coupon 🙁 can anyone toss me one as im in the market for a 19" but being a student have only a little money to spend, and i kinda already gave my 19" CRT away to a buddy (who really needed a new crt as his needed to be hit ont he right side to make it stop tinting green)..

Thats my sad and pethetic story (its true though) :/

meaning does Home start with a $ or # or what?

and which work on EPP?

I only bought 1 item from Dell the Planar 17" PX171M for $289 which at the time they were selling for $525 yes the LCD's have dropped that much! Never should have sold that monitor best LCD I have seen bar none except my AG Neovo E-19
 
Is the stackable 30 off coupon expired? I know there's a 40 off 400 floating around but I'm buying one of the cheaper lcd monitors.
 
hey guys sorry to bother yall but i have a proble i am new to the forums and i kno this is the best way to get an answer is buy asking u guys that know a lot .. well proble is im making a new system amd 64 939 with a ati aiw 9800 pro i have all the parts piked out for the comp but i need to choose a good lcd .. i play a lot of games and watch moviess .. games i play halo CS wolfenstine stuff like that .. would u guys get the Dell UltraSharp 2005FPW or viewsonic vp201b orrr vp191b orrr the dell 2001fpw please let me know thanx guys
