I did the same thing (Priority w/delivery confirmation). They lost mine too. The thing is I think USPS delivered to zip 55551 instead of 55558. Funny 55551 is where they want the resubmitance sent. It's always something ain't it?

I think it is unethical for companies to not pay rebates (which are write-offs, not good for stockholders), and then tell his customers that they lost it. If they lost it, they should be obligated to "make right." Instead they give us a hassle so that some of us may forget or just don't want to deal with it.

A bunch of crap. Is there some government division that deals with bad business practices?
 
i think i got the rebate back from WD but i cant remember if DELL was the other one can anyone confirm?

im still waiting on my last rebate and i just got an $80 Seagate rebate which i mailed like mid december

Constant alright; constantly changing.

A WDC supervisor just represented that the checks would begin mailing this week. She first blamed the delay on an extension of the promotion period, but when reminded that it was actually cut back to two days, she blamed it on Dell's adding $100 to the original rebate. Very politely, with apologies, etc.

I just spoke with the WD rebate center today, and she the first batch of checks is being sent out this week. My check was sent out yesterday. They are all being sent out by bulk mail, meaning it'll be about 2 weeks before anyone gets theirs. This is definitely good news though!
 
Just called WD again and they said my check was mailed today. The web site still shows 11/22 so they must update it in batches. I asked about it being mailed BULK but she looked on my record and said it was mailed FIRST CLASS! Kewl!
 
wasnt one rebate from dell and the other from WD?????

i called dell to ask about it and said there was no rebate for this drive

ive gotten the rebate from WD but not the second one


as for the guy saying that we should all call them at a specific time we will all be on hold for who knows how long...as for everyone call everyday for like a week straight that may work
 
For reference, when I called today, I wasn't even put on hold. Someone picked up right away. I think they're on top of this finally, and they should all ship out soon. As for the people who sent out the 2 $100 rebates, I don't know a thing about that. Sorry. Oh, the lady also said that the WD site is separately maintained, and the people at the rebate telephone number don't even have access to the info on the site, so I'd tend to believe the operator more than the website.
 
I looked at my scan of my rebate form and I figured they could have spelled my name wrong. I put my "new name" in and it said it shipped 2/2/04... hopefully it'll get here soon!
