Anxman69,
I got the same BS letter from them yesterday. Can't believe it took 5 frickin months to tell me they want more paperwork. Have you heard back about yours yet?

I have not heard back, but I only just mailed the letter out on Friday. I will probably call them in a week or so to see what's up.

I called them on Friday to tell them the same thing you just said, "It took you 5 months to tell me I have to resend an invoice?". The guy said, "Thanks for choosing Western Digital". I was amazed.

As an update, I called their rebate center today, and they said resubmissions may take another 6 weeks to process. Wow! With the stock market doing as well as it is, I'd wish they paid me with shares of MSFT!

hmm I must be one of the last few waiting! 🙁
The "Date Rebate Shipped" changed a few weeks back from 1/27/2004 to 2/27/2004

I have called several times...but they always say that everything looks good and I should get the rebate check soon!
But damnit it's been 6 months!! I hate rebates!! grrr

Finally got mine last week. I swear I thought I was going to get screwed. My rebate form was sent back to me, they said I was missing the form, which I did include. Submitted the rebate again, and it only took a total of 6 months. Well, no complaints... $22 for a 200GB drive? Can't beat that deal...

My drive died after 2 months of rare usage also. What's up with the 200GB drives?

Holy crap that's hilarious. I popped into this thread on a whim, as I am still waiting for my rebate. Then I look over and see the pile of postal mail from yesterday, still unopened. Lo and behold, there is my $200 check, sitting in the pile. Woo hoo!

(now I just need to RMA that drive, which appears to be defective and has never worked since the day it showed up. GRRRR)

mine is still sitting in the box, unopened except to get the proof of purchase. haven't had time to do anything with it... definitely can't complain for $22 - UNLESS it turns out to be defective and breaks after 2 months of use

Ive been using a pair of these heavily ever since I got them, in a raid0 400gig array for video editing and have had no problems. As soon as my current project is done I'm adding a third for raid5 security, but I have had no problems at all with these in very heavy usage.

Im still waiting on my rebate. Says it shipped 2/27 but I have not received anything yet. I hate rebates!

Well I finally received my rebate check yesterday!!! Only had to call them every 3 to 4 weeks for what... 8 months!
Boy do I hate rebates! But this was a nice deal in the emd.
Case closed! 🙂
