The really crazy part is some of them were at the cabin and heard it over a walkie-talkie. So what do they do? They go over there like cattle and get mowed down by this crazy.

I have a hard time grasping the idea that no one shot this guy. Five armed hunters vs. one. Even if he had an assault rifle (which I think he did) someone should have gotten a decent shot in. I also can't believe the friends would have run right into the middle of this... why would you not use your rifle from a distance and take this nutcase out.

Most people are not trained for or can not handle the ability to kill another person.
 
read the article. there was one gun among the 8 victims. Just one. I suspect that they had just arrived on their property, and were not gearing up to hunt yet. If they were fully armed for hunting, that guy may never have opened fire, and if he had, he would have been "had".
 
I would have just hunkered down in the cabin and called the police. Approaching a crazy guy with a gun is not a very smart thing to do.

Confusion.

Also from reading in OT, only one of the other hunters was armed at the time.

I would not have hesitated to take that POS out if I was there, saw what he was doing, and had the means to stop him.
 
I dont see a chance in hell of him getting off on self-defense.

Well, from his POV, at least he is assured a decent life behind bars :roll:

After reading your other thread on this subject I think it's safe to say you and conjur are both ignorant trolls(not that most people needed any more evidence). You posted about the guy being "prey" and conjur thinks it's just "Thinning the herd..."

he had a pretty good rifle, with a full on scope and loaded clip. also, he got a few sharpshooters certificatinos while he was in the guard.
 
The guy who did this is mentally ill. He was hearing voices calling him racist names. Early setting in of Alzheimers. I had a neigjhboor once who was the same way. You could be totally silent and he would hear you tell him to "Go f your mother" or something all in his head. He would also react to it violently with super human strength. Sadly there is no cure for him so they just need to lock him up away from all other human beings until he dies.
