False. You don't know if the other guy was a target of their violence or not. Saying he might be innocent of murder is not trolling, it's just something you disagree with.

Then how exactly do you square that with you calling him "prey" if you want to go down the "don't know" path? First off, he was the one hunting UNARMED people down which doesn't seem to support your pathetic attempt at playing apologist for him. Next, I suggest you read the OT thread and the other information surrounding this incident. We all know why you called him "prey" so no amount of your typical obfuscation changes that.

First off, this will be my last post on this sub-topic since the other thread was locked.

The "prey" word was in the context of a question. Also, they were hunters. So the word prey comes up.

ever see the movie Southern Comfort?

it could have been either way, murder/self defense, whatever. it's usually not a good idea to kill a bunch of people, makes self defense harder to defend, unless they were all standing together or very close. Conjecture of what anyone believes will never tell the story, and only the people that survived will know what really happened.

all in all, it's too bad something like this would happen.

Isn't wisconsin an enlightened BLUE state?

You seem to be suggesting that's unlikely but it's not like those things haven't happened in this country. I'm not sure what happened but the racist agression is a possibility.

Despite a spirited defense by the best of AT P&N, Mr. Vang was arraigned today. Bail is $ 2.5 million

Vang arraigned in hunter killings

Chai Vang, the man charged with killing six Wisconsin hunters last week, made his first appearance in court at Sawyer County jail under tight security Tuesday.
Adblock

Vang's arraignment took place in the jail's basement rather than in the nearby courthouse due to security concerns, KSTP-TV St. Paul reported.

Judge Norman Yackel read the charges to a shackled and handcuffed Vang, 36, who told Yackel he understood them. He is being held on $2.5 million bail.

Relatives of the victims were not allowed at the hearing, and they did not make use of a closed-circuit TV system set up for them.

A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 29.

OMG they arraigned him!!! Maybe they should just kill him now? Who needs an actual trial? It's just an arraignment, not more not less.

PS Why am I suprised you're still posting on P&N despite your bleatings about toning it down?

I can only assume you are talking about pliablemoose. If you think I was then your sarcasm-meter needs work. I agree it's no big deal he was arraigned. Pliablemoose was trying to make a big deal about it.

LOL, Since Wisconsin doesn't have the death penalty Infosquawk, they prob won't kill him.

I suspect he will spend the rest of his life behind bars though. If they're smart, they'll charge him with just one murder, and keep the others in the wings in case any of his appeals has merit, they'll have 6 opportunities to keep him in prison for life that way.

Guess the redneck's prey wasn't counting on that, of course 6 murders is obviously self defense.

I suppose taking Vang out of the breeding population will thin the herd a bit...

BTW, Infosquawk, those Marines you're bashing have a long history of putting their necks on the line so you can squawk about how unfair life is on the internet.

Seriously though, has anyone in your family ever been in the military?

Bitching about what the military does is one thing, but to single them out is ignorant.

Dead Marines have been stacked like cordwood protecting your rights....

No, you tried to jump him because you got your panties in a bunch. He posted it and you went off on a tirade about killing him now and about not needing a trial. Some people reserve those kinds of thing for members of our Military.

You already made that quip about people in our military... Pliablemoose apparently wants something similar for civilians.

Um no, did you skip your meds today Infohawk?

I'm a big fan of the US legal system, spoke with one of my lawyers for about 1.5 hours today. I think I got charged for a full 8 hours of work too:(

BTW, there's a good chance there won't be a trial, there's really no point in having one if the forensic evidence supports what the surviving hunters say happened. He'll prob have to allocute to give some closure for the families.

Pliablemoose, if you are going to keep insulting people in P&N, despite your claim in off-topic you were abandoning P&N, at least use original material. If you recall you PMed me with a psychotic display of hate and I told you to get some help... Don't just parrot me. Try and be a little more original... or simply stop posting.

Those marines were not the people who defended the country years ago. I appreciate the marines of WWI and WWII, and would never deign to dare thumb my nose at them.

However, the marines in Iraq can go screw emselves. They're doing what they want, they are NOT PROTECTING MY FREEDOMS, they are getting pwned because a retarded egomaniac with penis length problems wanted to make his impression on the world.

I only feel sorry for those marines. I don't feel gratitude or respect.

And just cause some marines half a century ago protected my rights doesn't mean they're doing the same now.

Wow. You are a piece of work.

Your apparent lack of knowledge in the areas of history and the armed forces is almost criminal.

Be more specific.

It is hard to know where to begin.

A VERY brief list Marine Corps engagements:

Tripoli
Mexican - American War
World War I
World War II
Korean War (Inchon and Chosin)
Vietnam
Gulf War I
many others

I doubt he has the slightest idea as to how the Marines ended up in at least half of those, including WWI which he listed. Politics ALWAYS plays a role in going to war, like it or not.

His bias against the current war in Iraq is clear, but he is projecting his feelings about the political situation onto the troops on the ground as if they had the power to decide what to do and not do. Civilian control of the military is a cornerstone of our government.

Edit: As to his example of WWI, you really need to look at the reasons we got involved in that particular war. Our nation was clearly not at serious phsyical risk.
