The only real difference is that in Deep Impact they don't succeed. I prefer movies with happy endings myself.

Then don't go watch The Departed

I saw bits and pieces of Deep Impact, but from what I saw, there were huge tidal waves, which forced humanity to go the highest peaks in order to survive it. So now millions of people are going to live on mountain ranges until the water recedes?

Armageddon FTW.

YEAH it was pretty unbeleivable.

As opposed to the totally plausible plot in Armageddon. 😉 😛

I forget which movie it was in, but the scene where they refuel at the Russian space station and it blows up was awesome.

Which did you guys like best? Funny how two movies with basically the same plot came out months apart.

That's creativity in Hollywood for you. Sort of like how every station needs a reality show, a medical "ER" show, a law show, a court show, etc.

never watched deep impact, but i liked armageddon though. liv tyler is so hot.

I dated Liv Tyler once. First came the deep impact, then it was armageddon for her.

RIP Liv

Just saw Deep Impact again, it really is a lot better than Armageddon. The whole build up and reveal of the ELE is good stuff.

When I first saw them, I remember liking Armageddon a lot better; I haven't watched either since they were released, though.

I didnt like any of them...

neither is realistic or plausible... these movies are fik-shin

We are about to get struck by a giant meteor any day now, and we have no shuttle capable of performing either mission to save earth.

Although Deep impact got 1 thing realistic... we will probably hide in the nuke shelters deep underground...
