I never claimed to be an expert. Why do I have to be an expert to post my predictions and defend them?

while we all know the cowboys will most likely be the best in the NFC east, we ALLLL know that they will not win their first play off game ... that is by far the most overrated team in the NFL. haven't won a playoff game in 12 years lol.

also, as a redskins fan, i am curious ... why don't you like jason campbell?

He has a strong arm and he's athletic, but he hasn't seemed to have the best vision/make the best decisions. He's still young so these things could improve, and I know he's looked good in preseason but come on....it's preseason. He just hasn't shown me that he's that great of a QB yet, although I won't rule out that it's possible.

well as long as you didn't hop on the colt brennan bandwagon, you are okay in my book.

but everything you stated is a valid point as well. granted, joe gibbs 1980's offense didn't help him develop, and always had him trying to come back from a blown lead due to the poor play calling and defense, i think this year he's going to do a lot better than he did last year.

So Steelers over Jaguars, then they never play again? 😕

Go Seahawks!
I hope they make it as far as you predict...for some reason I don't have the "this could be the year" feeling I've had the last few years...we'll see how our RB crew does- if Jones has a huge year we'll be a tough team to beat...(our new kicker has some big shoes to fill too...)

However I do not see the Cowboys winning it all...just dont think it's going to happen

See what I get for going more in depth this year - and doing it hung over on a Friday morning no less - you all know what I meant!

I like the playoff predictions, I do see the Seahawks going 11-5 this year though. We will see how their offensive line holds up, that will make or break their playoff run.

 for the predictions.

Zorn certainly could help him out. I still don't know if he was the best pick for head coach, but in the least he will be beneficial to Campbell.

The bears lost 2 shitty WR's and 1 shitty RB....how does that make them worse? Berrian is a lazy POS WR which I still can't figure out why people say the vikings are OMG!! the best team ever now with him. Mush Mohamed is 50 years old and can't catch anymore. Benson is.....Benson.

Best d-line in the game, one of the best LB sets in the game, tops in CB and (if healthy) safety. Best return man ever and decent TE's

Bears (8-8).

Yes, the guys they lost were sub-par, what does that say about the guys underneath them? Do you really think Forte is the next Adrian Peterson?

I mostly agree with a lot of your predictions, but SD? Unless Rivers really turns it around, I see them heading straight to mediocrity.

Oh good lord, not this again. Dude, you've proven yourself to be awful at this. Just stop.

Agreed. Your analysis is week and seems to just be a conglomerate of stuff from talking heads on sports pages around the net.

And, Eagles 7-9!? Come on are you crazy? They clearly are at least better than the Redskins.

No, but he can't be any worse than Benson/Peterson (the shitty one on the Bears). Hester learned how to read and how the O works, and the D is in better shape than it was last year.

I've seen you guys do much better with your prediction posts, better hurry up and choose them all right quick before the season starts.!!!!

You have the AFC North all screwed up. The Browns are going to be better than last season, and the addition of Donte Stallworth will bolster any already very good offense. Defense will be a concern, but I still think they're tops in that division. The Steelers will finish around 9-7, maybe sneak into the playoffs. The Bengals are already in disarray and the season hasn't even started yet. Rudi's hurt again, Chad got injured (who knows if he'll be back by week 1), and that Defense still stinks.

AFC North will go 1. Browns 2. Steelers 3. Ravens 4. Bengals

As with last year - the wins/losses are rough estimates. Even if the numbers were even, the records may not be possible unless I actually went through and predicted each and every game, which I'm not going to do. You can get an idea of where I think the teams will stand, which is the intention.

Last year was not the best year, with notables like the Bears and Ravens being way worse than I expected, but all in all I do ok. I picked the superbowl winner in 2006, last year had the correct AFC Championship game and 1/2 of the superbowl teams. Go ahead, spout "waaah anyone could have picked the pats", well, then I guess it was a smart pick. Besides, I'm not lobbying for Peter King's job, I do this for fun.

Rivers is the key, if he turns it around they'll be great, if he's bad, they'll be mediocre. He has the potential anyway.

Ah ha - and where would you expect me to get my information? Certainly not from watching football and reading about what happens in the offseason....I guess you have a personal relationship with GMs and coaches around the league, and scoff at those that don't? My analysis is my own, I haven't read any predictions by the experts yet. Just going by what's happened.

As for the Eagles - they are a wildcard. The entire NFC East is a crapshoot really. The problem with the Eagles is they ALWAYS get slammed with injuries, every year, and it's happening again already. And come on...you don't really feel good about Gocong and co at the linebacker spots, do you?

No, but he can't be any worse than Benson/Peterson (the shitty one on the Bears). Hester learned how to read and how the O works, and the D is in better shape than it was last year.
We'll see. At any rate, the Bears offense is poor this year.

We'll see. I did say at the top that that division was tough to pick. I really don't like what the Browns bring, they have a good line and you have to like Edwards and Winslow, but other than that I'm not high on their offense, or their defense. The Bengals are always in disarray, but if they get healthy the offense has the talent to compete.

3. New York Giants (9-7) - I'm sure I'll be chastised for this, but the Giants will take a step back this year. They got hot at the right time last year, but do you REALLY think Eli is a new man and will crack the 80 QB rating barrier for the first time in his career? They also lost some players, most notably Strahan. You can't replace a guy like Strahan. They have guys to fill in for his pass rush, but Strahan was not just a great pass rusher, he was very stout against the run too.

Let me preface this by saying I am a lifelong diehard Giants fan, so my view may be somewhat tainted.
I disagree strongly with your assesment. You can certainly replace a guy like Strahan when you have the talent there to do it. Tuck and Osi on the ends with Cofield and Robbins is still the best D line in the game IMO. Add in Kiwanuka and Alford on different 3rd down schemes, etc, and it's again a scary D line. And yes, Tuck is a very good run stuffer as well as a pass rusher. And I do think Eli matured as a QB. One game you can say is a fluke. Even two. But he's been excellent since the NE game on week 17. 1 INT in the playoffs is not a fluke. And now he will have more and better targets to throw to. Hixon is showing he can get it done, and they got Manningham in the draft. Smith has shown he can play. Giants upgraded the secondary with Kenny Phillips who I believe will be a household name before long. Don't forget Bradshaw who didn't play last year until the playoffs. ANd he showed what he can do. Giants are better this year than last year. But I am happy people are dissing them and counting them out. They thrive on that.
