Look what Parcells just said about Vanderjagt:

"I don't know the player well enough to be offering advice to him," Parcells said. "I mean, this guy's 36 years old. He's been doing this a long time. I'm just learning the player, so I'm not standing there telling him what to do. I'm just hoping that based on his history, he'll find it, and I think that's what he's trying to do."

Oh no! There must be a huge rift between them! He won't even refer to him by name!

He's in his second season, just because he hasn't done it yet doesn't mean he won't. Wow, you throw a player under the bus pretty quickly, don't you?

No, it's you who is throwing him up on a pedestal way to soon.

I hope that "straight nasty all around" includes a few wins this season for the Cowboys .

Eagles fans have been all over me today, apparently beating Houston(without Davis) is a really big accomplishment, and apparently Jacksonville DIDN'T win 12 games last year, several without their starting QB/RB. I'm not exactly worried.

Dallas's problem wasn't Jacksonville. It was with their own offense. Bledsoe looked like terrible in the 2nd half, and they couldn't get their running game off the ground. It also seemed like they tried to change the gameplan when they were up by 10.. and it didn't work at all.

(This post coming from a Cowboy's fan)

Arrgh.. same thing.. different year. This loss is because of the offensive line and quarterback play. Bledsoe's three interceptions, sacked twice in addition to being hurried over a dozen times is a result of the offensive line playing piss poor, yet again.
This is the same thing that happend last year, and it doesn't appear to be fixed.

I really disagree, I don't think the line played poorly at all. Bledsoe played like sh!t, but it wasn't the line's fault. I fully blame this loss on stupid penalties - multiple TDs were wiped out by penalty, a few promising drives were stalled, and the Williams hit set up a Jags score. Even WITH Bledsoe making stupid mistakes, they still very well could have won this game were it not for the stupid penalties.

Oh, and joshsquall, Jones had 72 yards on 17 carries and a TD. The running game was fine - problem was they had to abandon it when they went down by 14.

You're right, the Texans are an amazing team, and Donte Stallworth proved that he is much more capable of being the Eagles #1 receiver than Terrell Owens. I fully concede the season, and the Eagles are clearly going to win the Superbowl.

You are such a whiny little girl. Go listen to Nsync or something.

Giants did not play up to their potential last night. Too many missed opportunities, too many bad penalities, missed FG, missed INT's, etc. They did not lose the game because of bad calls, but that didn't let them come back.

The Giants are going to completely dismantle the Eagles, as well as all of your hopes and dreams, next week. Its going to be great, even if I hate the Giants too.

To those that don't know, this is the Deeko pattern:

1. Make a bold prediction
2. Get owned for being wrong
3. Respond with inevitalbe, "Yeah, but NEXT week..." prediction

it's an endless cycle and source of amusement.

Actually, the funny thing is this thread is about my predictions for the SEASON, not for week 1. Anyone with a brain could have told you the Eagles would win against the Texans, and I never once said Dallas would beat Jacksonville on the road, one of the hardest games on their schedule.

Thus, you're an idiot, and the Eagles suck.

The funny thing is that so far this season, your predictions are completely wrong...

Yesterday's game displayed what the Cowboys have been for the entire Bill Parcell era. His old-school approach is getting old. His continuous ties to his players from other teams are getting old. The same ole play calling is getting old.

Will Bill ever figure out that there is a thing called "Play Action Pass" and maybe use it once in a while on 2nd down and short? The Cowboy's play calling is so predictable. Defenses' know if Bledsoe is hurried, he will make huge mistakes. Opposing defenses' know the Cowboys will run on 2nd and short; and will most likely run on 3rd down and short.. WTF BILL PARCELLS!! How about mixing it up a little.. This isn't your old-school teams. With all the talent this team has, there is no fvcking way they should have performed like yesterday.

Every time the Cowboys get a lead, they resort to the same "Bill Parcell" conservative play calling. Leads me to believe Sean Payton wasn't really calling the shots while serving as OC the previous years.
