I know, right? Apparently there are some people who actually think Sony's outdated controller design is superior to Xbox's. D:

Not a heck of a lot of difference between the Dual Shock and the 360 controller. Button layout is identical. They just swapped the D-Pad and left stick. All boils down to the ergonomics, and which you prefer.

I actually like the PS3 controller. It's lighter and not quite as chunky as the 360 controller. That said, I use the 360 controller on my PC. I never could get the PS3 one to work on my PC.

Is there a difference between the '360 for Windows' controller and a regular 360 controller? Are the controllers just plug and play for PC games or will I need a separate driver?

some people don't want to drop the money if they already have a PS3 gamepad, and probably play 90% or more of their PC games without a gamepad.

ime though, after trying to get a PS3 pad to work via shithole MiJ software, the $20-30 microsoft gamepad is well worth the lack of frustration. and yes, it is the better device from any way you look at it.

no, yes, and no/yes (the driver is free if your game pad does not install automatically)

I can't fathom why anyone would use that piece of junk on the PC. The xbox 360 controller is so, so much more comfortable.

Completely disagree. Can't stand the Xbox controller; I enjoyed the PS3 far more and found it a lot more comfortable.
