Lawl alcohol and underage college students. I'm so tired of hearing about this on the morning news. So tired.

It's really bizarre that you think determining if a future SCOTUS justice is likely a violent, serial sex offender is not relevant.

If Feinstein was conserved about that she wouldn’t have sat on it. To think a politician is doing anything other than playing politics is naive.

What Feinstein thinks is irrelevant. The only thing relevant here is if a future SCOTUS justice is likely a violent, serial sex offender.

No, the only thing relevant is how a future SC justice votes. Accusations of sexual assault are a means to an end. None of the senators he’s addressing right now give a shit if he did or didn’t do it, all they care about is whether he gets voted in or not before the midterms. That’s it.

They may not personally give a shit if he did or didn't do it but they certainly give a shit if other people do.

Honestly answer: If Kavanaugh was Dem, would you be defending him against these 'last minute allegations' as strongly as you are? Or would you be carrying the flag of women's justice?

And she also said the name Kavanaugh wasn’t said to her therapist, she told it to her husband afterwards.

I had never told the details to anyone until May 2012, during a couples counseling session. The reason this came up in counseling is that my husband and I had completed an extensive remodel of our home, and I insisted on a second front door, an idea that he and others disagreed with and could not understand. In explaining why I wanted to have a second front door, I described the assault in detail. I recall saying that the boy who assaulted me could someday be on the U.S. Supreme Court and spoke a bit about his background. My husband recalls that I named my attacker as Brett Kavanaugh.

It isn't about whether the National Security Advisor talked about sanctions with the Russian ambassador and lied about it. It's all about who leaked the information why!

Deja vu all over again...

Yeah, there's absolutely no substance to it, and no reason to take their trolling seriously. People that want to strip women of their reproductive freedoms are evil. Fuck them.
I thoroughly agree. I refuse to accept the assertion that anti-abortionists have a right to their position on the issue. It's simply untenable. I don't care where they're coming from, they just don't get it.

So again, your contention is that Ford wanted to keep her options open so that she could credibly accuse ANY member of prestigious local boys schools who went on to be high ranking officials in Washington?

Surely you see how insane a conspiracy theory that is, right?

He obviously doesn't care. It's all about the 'concerns'.

I don’t want him on the court. I support Row v Wade and don’t want anyone near the court that might even potentially roll that back. I’ll call out a political sham though which is what this is.

It's interesting in this thread although not unexpected that I'm getting heat for either giving Kavanaugh too much respect and benefit of the doubt or for presuming him guilty. And almost nothing in between.

Because the real conversation is whether one agrees with Kavanaugh's positions on political issues that may be brought before the SC or not. The true conversation is about that, but tactic is to talk about an alleged sexual assault 35 years ago.

Are you saying that if he is guilty of these alleged sexual assaults that they should have no bearing on whether he is confirmed to the US Supreme Court?

They only had bearing a couple weeks ago but after that arbitrary deadline passed they are no longer valid.

I’m saying no senator that is voting for or against his confirmation cares a single bit about the allegations.
