Last year when I bought the Antec case from Outpost with a $50 rebate, cs assured me that the rebate would be extended because they couldn't deliver on time. Later when I encountered trouble, after the sale and before the rebate, Outpost cs told me they had nothing to do with the rebate and I was on my own. For what it's worth. I got the $50 finally, but zero help from Outpost.

if you compare the wd 200gb with the maxtor 160gb the maxtor wins half of the tests. it also wins the acces times with will results in a snappy-er system response. its seems like a negliable performance difference probably. the ibm get schooled by both of them with 180gb.

i'm sold. i'm in. :D

anybody see any reason in the rebates why i can't do both a 80gb and 120gb? i don't. help me out here.

Nosing around the Outpost site, it has locations throughout the country, but it's headquartered in Connectcut. Should be Eastern Standard Time, but not sure. They do list all their times on customer service as EST. I may jump the gun.....if all else fails, cancel and reorder at a later time! :)

Good Luck all! :)

Where do you get the extra $30 rebate? All i'm getting is the rebate thats for $50.

And what day(s) are this rebate valid on? It says on the $50 rebate that its ONE DAY ONLY on 11/29...

How are you supposed to get both rebates when they say you have to have the original upc with both rebates?

Thanks for this info.

Mmmm, if you bought the Conairphone FRS radios that had a separate $10 and $5 rebate, I distinctly recall one of the rebates say to send a COPY of the UPC.
If both rebates had said to send the original UPC, I know I would not have bothered to take the risk.

Just placed my order. I got charged $10 tax for living in CA though. That sucks. After I get the rebates back it's still only $68 for 80 gigs. Nice deal.

I placed my order. I think it's a little late, but would the $10 off $100 for new customers work with these rebates?

The first post in this thread has 2 different links. You want to click the one that says Hot Deal?, not the one that says 120 gig/8mb buffer

just placed my order for the 80 gig, total came 140.55-80.00 rebate=60.55. just got the same drive from compusa yesterday delivered 144.00 -30.00 rebate= 114.00. Wouldn't of payed that, but got the shaft from Staples so out of anger, I pay more, yeah i'll show em! Wonder if I can return the drive to compusa, the wrapper on the outer box has been opened, but the drive is still in the sealed esd bag. They have a 15% fee for returning opened non defective merchandise, hmm maybe return the the drive that I ordered from outpost to Compusa think they'll notice, he he, oh well this is a good deal, even if I have to return the other drive at a cost it will still be cheaper than the one I bought at compusa
