290 for a 3800+ X2 is still a hot deal.

On the off chance that this goes through. I may make this X2 available for trade or sale. I just put together an E6 Venice based build running stable at 2700 with decent memory speed and low timings. with a 7800GT gaming will be the only demanding thing I really do. Other than some scientific simulations...
My question is whether an X2 would be worth it. I don't see the multitasking being all that important. Oh wow I can have word and firefox and excell all running really fast!
It is much harder to get dual cores to overclock as well as a single core right? What is an average/typical OC for these 3800+ toledoes?
A 2500MHz dual core won't be as good as a 2700 MHz single core for gaming right?
Or are my assumptions all off and/or I'm missing some important info???
Thanks! One of these is going up for sale! Though I have to say, I spent a sh!t load of time testing and benchmarking to find my performance sweet spot, I don't look forward to doing this again, and with a dual core CPU to boot!
TIA

Anyone else or did I miss that the first time?
