God help us. Just like the PC Mall WD 400GB HD deal was abused just a few hours ago. With Slickdeals, I give it a matter of hours before it triggers some flag - when it hits FW I give it a matter of minutes

it's a society problem.... people at FW or slickdeal thinks they are hero posting a great deal like this. but the truth is they are the only ones ruining that very deal.

Also if this gets canceled, there should be no whining. They're entitled to and you would in the same situation. I hate the "I HATE Amazon/Newegg/ZZF/Monarch" etc. posts because they didn't honor their price mistake.

This is simple: It is likely a price mistake, let's not be greedy. They'll catch it tomorrow, and then the ball is in their court. If they don't honor it, it won't sour my view of this company. It's a frikin computer chip, don't act like you were betrayed by your best friend if it doesn't go through

Now watch the thread fill up with people asking what motherboard and HSF they should get for it. There are a lot of techies over at FW, but there are also just as many people who have nothing better to do than screw over some retailler.

This happened in the HD thread too. People asked if it was a hot deal. If you don't know if a 400GB SATA HD w/16MB of cache is a hot deal for about 30 bucks shipped, then you should let someone who actually needs/wants and has a use for it have it.

I think e-tailer should make their inventory such that if it is selling way too fast they automatically pull it right away to be evaluated in the morning to see if there is a price mistake. This would save so much time for both end. Of course, it would ruin the all fun price mistake hunting match.
