If this is another one, it's like 3rd or 4th one in one month, only one came though so far though, 200gb hdd.

they're not more/less prone to errors, but its just that errors on dell are more likely detected due to the # of ppl ordering from them.

Maybe someone was doing an elaborate "man in the middle" spoof of the Dell site and just harvested a sh*tload of credit card numbers!

Just wanted to say thank you getmeadealcom. I got in on this within 1/2 hour of you posting it here.

If this deal is any indicator on how good your site is then you're a gold mine!

I've bookmarked your website & will check it daily now!

Thanks again. :)

I know in bizarro world, robots run everything, and as long as you order only one and don't call the company, you'll fly under the radar. That hasn't been true of most e-tailers for years, and it's never been true of Dell. So take a breath, relax, and wait with the rest of us to see if your order goes through. If it doesn't, it won't be because someone called, or because someone ordered too many, or because of the alignment of the planets.
You're a fool if you don't think robots rule the world. I, for one, welcome our new robotic overlords.
shhhhhhhhhhhh.

the first rule about robot club is you don't talk about robot club.
LMAO. funniest thing i read all day, thanks guys!

I wonder what the odds are of Dell honoring this. 1 in 10 or 1 in 50? Well I know it's not likely but if it does great.

I hate how people are going to start bitching about how much Michael Dell is worth and he should take the loss. Everyones going to be ready to sue him.

Add about eight zeros to the end of that and you're probably more in the ballpark.

Yeah, fine, blast me. But hey, don't get on the guy who ordered 30 on the first page. Sorry folks, I don't do internet drama, try calling someone else names.

I figure someone at Dell is making these mistakes on purpose.

EDIT: Wonder if this could be a HD exclusive without it leaking to that other site...

Its ok...even if the fw get it, I've already ordered 47...my maximum credit limit so far. (I have not so good credit.)

As I was saying.....

And keyboard commando, keep it down with the insults, k?

im guessing a few will slide through. i was lucky enough to get in on those $0.08 flat panels a while ago. i wouldnt count on anything, but it seems a few orders always get overlooked.

Is your 'keyboard commando' comment for me?

I didn't see that post about that guy ordering 47. Difference between 47 and 10 is purely how much you can afford imo. I bet you would have gotten more if you could have. But if you want me to reiterate for the sake of being fair to you, and point my finger at all the greedy bastards along with you: All you greedy bastards who ordered more than you need, DIE SLOWly

Regardless of the chances it would have been honored, it's lame to order a ridiculous amount and use the 'chances are slim to none' excuse and then turn around and do all you can do make it work so that your greedy ass can make money off of it. Am I being unreasonable with my complaining?

You can complain all you want. It doesn't bother me a bit. But honestly, does it really make a difference? If everyone on the forum ordered one, and everyone on fatwallet ordered one, and the fluke surfers all ordered one, the deal would still be cancelled. It's one of those things that no matter how much you order, you cross your fingers and hope.

Do you honestly think if BMW were selling $70,000 M5s for $5,000, they'd honor it if people just ordered 1?

It's funny how people say "don't call, don't call or this will get canceled"
So a phone call is going to tip them off but 10,000 orders in 30 minutes won't?
Their going to cancel all the orders anyway.

I have a strategy, I have *1* in my cart on the business side and I'm at the final checkout page. I'll wait for all the orders to get cancelled, then I'll hit the submit button (a couple days maybe?)

I do think there would be a better chance of that than them selling 10 of them for $5k each. If you argue against that, you argue against logic.

that's true, but sush! just trying to make a point that greed is still greed, doesn't make the guy who ordered 10 "not greedy"........maybe not AS greedy

....but true, I see my flaw in my previous argument about not having the 'credit' for it being the only difference. :(
