BTW...

I was initially cornfused by FedEx, trying to figure out my acct number. I received a "user (number)" and a "password (number)," and was finally advised by them that the nine digit number (the pw, as it turned out,) was my acct. number. Pretty illogoical to me, but it works - just use the nine digit number, as I believe all FedEx accts are of that format. Man, this thread is tiring, isn't it boys?!

Ok so I took the plunge.

Ok so $885.50 for me in Texas and your pretty much gauranteed $510 in rebates because they advertise 200/170/140 on the page. So $375 or so for a 2.4ghz system at least, and if everything goes through it is $175.50!. I sure as heck should be a qualifiying school I go to the University of Texas at Dallas.

So I'm looking into tearing this thing apart already :) I could use a P4, but some of this other stuff hummm....

How come it's only good until 11pm CST? Dell is based in Texas so shouldn't it be until midnight CST?

Just ordered 2 minutes ago, I think I made it in the nick of time.

My roommate already bought the system for his parents.

He didn't order because he's not part of Dell EPP.

I am glad I came in late on this deal. Dont really need $700 tied up in rebates due to compulsive spending.

If you forget your password, Your User ID is case sensitive. Please be sure to store it safely exactly as it appears above. Your User ID and password are used for entry to My FedEx,

Thank you again for your registration. FedEx is proud to supply your integrated transportation, information, and logistics solutions.

I have not received any more emails and when I login to their website I use the login that I specified and the password that I picked, are you guys using the numbers they gave you? No account numbers or anything present. I am hoping that the email I am suppose to be receiving will have those other numbers in it? Maybe their website is getting slammed and their email service can't keep up? </DIV>

If they don't..... :)

Well, all done now! I seriously hope all those rebates go through, there's going to be a lot of pissed off people if they don't, and probably a lot of aggrivated Dell employees because of the pissed off people too.

My system will arrive by the end of the week (I placed the order Nov 22, estimated ship date was Dec 2, actual ship date was Nov 24), and then damn, that's a lot of rebates to fill out. =)

I have a second system coming too that I just ordered today, but that ones not for me. Hopefully rebates on both systems will come through. The CSR confirmed that it would (and yes I know which CSR it was), and the rebates don't say limit of one rebate per person, household, or anything else. There's just that clause about one per year in a little area. Oh well, if it doesn't, it's not my cash that's burned. heh

Cross your fingers on the rebates everyone!

Don't worry about them cancelling, worry about them refusing all the rebates (so you're paying full price for this computer)...

So you caved, eh Ross? :)

I wanna keep this thing for myself so bad...but for once, my family should have the better system, since my sister's still playing with a K6-2 450. :)

I just dove in, too. Had been looking at this mobo, that mobo, this case, that case, power supplies, chipsets, fans, hard drive interfaces, AAAAHHHH!!!! {sound of brain exploding}

I have a friend with a 2GHz Dimension 8200. It's sweet, and whisper quiet.

No more muss or fuss. Just some worry about getting the rebate checks ;)
