tiga - First you have to open a FedEx account and have your FedEx account number, once you have that info, configure your Dell and go to check out ... during check out you can choose to list your own courier (FedEx) and enter in your FedEx account number. Again this is during Dell's check out process.

Just curious, why aren't you able to create your own FedEx account?

That's the thing, ALL rebates are EPP rebates.. so if you aren't eligable for an EPP rebate then you get $0 back..

I have pre-purchase doubts as I always do before a major rebate fiasco. And I always jump right in. But they have always come through....decisions... :)

Isn't it employee purchase program (which is now elligable for DELL students)?

The rebate imo can go 2 ways (due to the ambiguity of the English language).. It's open to Dell faulty, and all students and all staff for any university, or Dell faculty, Dell students, and Dell staff at a Dell sponsored university... Some schools are sponsored by Dell (mine is one of them) but many are not. I am guessing that this is ONLY for students who attend schools who are sponsored by Dell... I could be wrong but I wouldn't bet $710 on it...

This sounds awesome, but "if it sounds to good to be true..." 8-12 to get my $799 back is a long time, especially when I have to buy more textbooks in January :frown:

EPP = Employee Purchase Program or Plan?

My bank is a participant but we have our own website that we go through.

If you work for HCA Hospitals, you can go to their benefit website, Link
Click on the link Lifesavers, they list Dell as a partner.
3 hours to go!;)

Click on the link Lifesavers, then the link Consumer discounts, paste the code number, then click on the dell website link.
Dell asks for that number, then puts you through to the EPP page.
3 hours to go!;)

Does Dell verify this information in any way? Seems to easy to get a pc for 780 before shipping and tax and then get a total of 610 or 710 in rebates....is it just me or "if it sound too good to be true..."

If I buy 2 of these systems at once, does each one qualify for all 4 rebates? Any info on this? I could have missed it in the fine print.
Thanks.

You are right...sorry...I'm not sure if the other two $100 rebates apply here...I'm beginning to think I'll pass...too much ambiguity about the rebates and I'd hate to lose $510 because of being a greedy dumb@ss...

I don't think it will let you... Education purchases are limited to one system per year for qualifying individuals.

I don't truly need a new desktop, but this is a significant upgrade, and my gf is actually a grad student at an accredited university so I had her order one. How can I resist???

Can you guys please explain to me how the rebates come to $710? I added them all up (4 of them) and it comes to $610. What am I missing? (170+140+200+100)
Thanks

Yea, but do all 5 really apply?
according to the readings on the rebates - No.
according to the CSRs people have been talking with - Yes.
