Ha ha ha! Ho ho ho! I got on this early, much earlier than most of you whiners. Did I think I was gonna get the drive? About %5 of me did. The rest knew better. So you called them and checked the price. BONEHEAD!! YOU NEVER CALL!! Or they will know not to send out the product. You checked the price and got the same price mistake that you knew was wrong. DUH! A big DUH DUH DUH. What did you think you were gonna get? So please, save your ambulance chasing class action lawsuit purchase plan. And some people did get the drive. You are just too SLOW!! Get it?

That's precisely why I called to confirm the price MULTIPLE times.
Anyway, according to your logic there are only two possibilities.

1. The sales people were being honest, which means the company is staffed completely with idiots... so don't ever do business with them...

what do they have to gain by doing something like this

they get thousands of complaints filed from people like you

several hundred phone calls im sure

they have to process several thousand orders
cancel them all

if you think they are gonna run away with your money than that is a different story because then they would have a lot of things


what do you actually lose by them cancelling when you know its a price mistake and it was a longshot to begin with
and again i wouldnt ever take the word of a CSR on an issue like this unless it was in writing signed by a manager

also wouldnt the same price from computers4sure also mean that it was infact a pricing error by the manufacturer?

Most visa endorsed Debit cards, ie. Visa Check Cards have full fraud protection. It may take a while to get your money back... but hey, you'll get it back.
 
You guys need to just grow up. A company makes a pricing mistake so you hang them out to dry by killing their reseller rating and trying to rally a class action law suit. When something like this comes up the first thing you should think is "This is a mistake and I will probably not get it". Since it is in fact a mistake and you all knew it was since you cant find this drive under 250 anywhere else. This is not a major corporation that can afford to take a 140 dollar loss per unit. Like someone stated earlier, if they did they would be out of business the next day. Companies have disclaimers for this exact reason. Nobody is perfect, we all make mistakes. Just as the person did who posted that price on the internet. So just grow up and say " O well didn't think I was going to get it anyway" instead of trying to bury a company that did nothing to you or me other than make a typo.

Well said Master. I would expect a more mature reaction from a 30 year old business owner. As a business owner I am sure you are familiar with an error in an adverstisement. They may not even maintain their own site. They probably pay some third party company to update the site and they made the error. Enough flaming zones. I think some of us should put all 10's in on their reseller ratings to try to get it back to their normal 7.5.

There is no SE verson of this drive. That's the westerndigital you bought @ CC And probably went in there and pulled the Compusa ad hustle and tricked the CS, or manager into thinking there was no rebate it was all instant savings. Just cause compusa had a little misprint in the add and didnt say after rebate. You made CC pay for compusa's mistake.. Admit it!!!!!!!!!

When you get it from compusa they tell you right there you get a $40 rebate and a $20 walkin instant. But you Scammed CC I bet with the ad. And then you probably ran out of the store when they handed you the bag. Im suprised the security alarm didnt go off.

Grow up kids! I ordered one, knew that I wouldn't get it, but was excited none the less. The deal didn't pan out, life goes on. Seriously, there are MUCH better things to worry about.

How do you figure you got screwed? Did you honestly believe that they would honor a price mistake of more than $150? I am sorry but if you did then you are either a) very unintelligent or b) very gullible. If the deal goes through they good for us but if it don't then oh well, we didn't lose anything. How many deals like this get posted in the forums, a pricing mistake that everybody and their mother gets in on? How many of them actually give you the product for the wrong advertised price? None. Well why would you expect Zones to honor this price. You shouldn't. Next time a deal like this comes up just hit the back button on your browser so we don't have to hear how you got screwed out of a hard drive or whatever it will be next week. Sorry about the ranting but it really pisses me off what people think they are entitled to and are so willing to trash a company because they don't honor a mistake.
 
Anyone who thinks they got screwed because they were charged even when they are going to get an immediate refund deserves to really get sh!t on, friggin little babies.

wow, you're observant.... sorry, yes i was mentioning the deal i got for the Western Digital 80gb hd i bought at CC. i dunno how you found me out, were you spying on me?

truthfully, the cashier wouldn't match the price for me due to a rebate, so i asked the manager. the manager never mentioned anything about CC not price matching due to rebates, she rang it up herself after looking at the ad showing it required a rebate. i sure tricked her, didn't i?

as for your comment about member status not representing the intelligence of a member, you're a regular fvcking einstein
