you can definetly hook it up to your laptop. If you use it casually, you should not have a problem. If you use it a lot, they might call/text you that piggy backing a laptop costs extra. Technically you can do it, but if they notice a lot of info going through your phone, they will figure it is connected to a laptop and might act upon it. I think they charge $10 for tha service.

There is nothing to help, you have all the info needed in this thread. If you need an employees email, let me know.

So I made a plan to call in a day before my 14 day trial expired to "pretend cancel", in hopes they would offer something nice to keep me. After 3 customer service people and then 3 retention agents that did nothing, I finally reached someone "helpful". He was very nice and offered me unlimited text messaging and 7 pm nights for free, which I happily accepted!

A 2 year contract is a long time, but with such a deal....I doubt anything better will come up in that time frame. Having this SERO plan, 500 anytime with all the commen kinks + Power Vision + unlimited text messaging + 7pm nights for $30 is one hell of a deal! Unlimited text messaging + 7pm night is $25 on their own. I'm glad I went with the better phone so that I can "lock in" power vision, not just the regular vision.

That reminds me, those of you that are thinking of going for a cheapo phone right now, know this. You get Power Vision with a capable power vision phone and plain Vision with a capable vision phone. Whatever phone you get, that is the level of "Vision" you will have for the rest of the 2 year contract! Say you get a Vision phone now, and decide to get a Power Vision capable phone 6 months from now, you WILL NOT have Power Vision.

As far as differences between the 2 Visions, maybe someone else can answer. I just assume Power Vision has more options/features....

Unfortunately, songs and videos cannot be streamed on palm os. I have a palm treo 650. Too bad. But I can browse photos. Does anybody have a solution to get around this problem?

Alright, to those who already have your plan/phone, get ready to kiss my feet and love your phone/service more than you ever thought it was humanly possible. I present to you WWW.ORB.COM. It is a PC based software, which you access through your phone. What does it do you ask? Well YOU CAN LISTEN/WATCH ANYTHING THAT IS ON YOUR GOD DAMN COMPUTER!!!

Holy ****** this has to be the coolest thing for a phone. I made a login, downloaded it on my comp, took 5 mins to set it up. Went on my Sprint A900, went to www.orb.com, logged in with that same account.................I CAN LISTEN TO MY WHOLE ARTIST/SONG COLLECTION, OVER 1000 SONGS, at my fingers tips!!! If you have a fucken TV Tuner on your computer, GET READY TO WATCH EVERY CHANNEL THAT YOU COULD WATCH ON YOUR COMPUTER BEFORE. I don't need to carry my Ipod anymore, I can access all my music that's on the computer, through the phone. Again you can listen to ALL of your MP3's, if you have a TV Tuner you can watch ****** load of TV Channels, if you have pictures - you can look at them at any time, if you have video's - you can watch them at any time. ******, download some porn and watch on your PHONE AT ANY TIME. WoW if you have not noticed, I'm a bit excited! Sorry for the cussing, but again - excited. If you get this, you will understand. It is like remote access between computers, but now for your phone!!! ahaha i love it

PS. The song quality is just as good if not better how my IPod plays them. Obviously because of phone screen size, the TV and picture viewing is not the same as on your TV/Comp, though the sound comes in cristal clear.....

Kiss my ass later!

BTW, if anyone is interested in some nice FREE ringtones (MP3) for their new A900/whatever go here, that is how I stumbled onto this ORB thing.

How are you guys getting the free A920 and A900? Are they showing up on the website in your area or did you pricematch wirefly at the Sprint store?

Some websiteas offer these phones for free when you sign up with them. Unfortunately they can not sign you up with this SERO plan. What people are doing is getting the free phone with some plan, then calling in and switching to the SERO plan. I did not go that way because no one was sure if it was doable, like you see with the guy above your post. If you look at one of my posts earlier, it explains how I got extra $100 off by calling in.

On another note, when I'm playing my songs through orb, my phone asks me to push any button to continue the connection. If I do not, the media player shuts off. It sucks as I just want to keep the phone in my pocket and keep listening, and then BOOM, no morre sound. I have the A900, anyone else experience this problem? Anyone with a solution? Makes it VERY annoying if you have to restart ORB every 5 mins and then search for the song(s) you want to hear.

If you read in the program details you see that you only need an id OR an email address, the id part is in there for former nextel employees only. I got my i850 a couple weeks ago just fine with the email address.

sprint changed their policy on Feb. 1st. you can't tether now without a phone as modem plan. And you can't have 2 vision plans on one phone, so if you have SERO, you can't have a PAM plan as well.

they have locked out tethering. there is a backdoor right now on phones like the a900 via accessing a secret menu and disabling NAI, but I'm guessing a future firmware update will close that loophole.

FYI, PAM plans are not $10, more like $40.

Hmm, I tried to call today to just see if I could do it over the phone and maybe get a discount on the A920 or Treo. They said another department handles it, 888-312-0050 == national accounts, not open Sundays. She knew immediately what it was though..

Called again and they referred me to Customer Service. Couldn't wait the 20 minutes though.

Well I went to the Sprint store, not expecting to actually get far. The Sprint employee actually knew what I was talking about when I asked her, said she signed up a few of her friends, suprised I knew about it. I asked her how much the Treo is? $350. I showed her a printout from Wirefly, just the list of phones with Treo 650 showing as $150 AR. She said that's fine. Around 30mins-1hour later, I got my phone. Was a complete breeze.

Still waiting for the phone to activate though.

Is there a phone that is Power Vision capable, is a flip, and is better than the A900? I like the A900 a lot, but the battery life is not enough. I mean if I didn't have the Power Vision, I'm sure the battery would be just fine. Playing songs/etc through the web just drains it too quick. I heard they're working on the battery issues, and perhaps will come out with a Larger/stronger battery. I hope they provide it free to those that have the phone, and we send back the old battery!

has anyone ordered phones through wireflyfriends.com ??
my tmobile contract is up tomorrow and i'm very much torn between sprint pcs and cingular.
the key is the 2 phones.
niether sprint or cingular stores in upstate ny are ready to give me any $$$ off even when I take printouts to them.
that leaves me no choice but to but the plans and phones online.
letstalk.com has a good selection of phones but the rebates come after 7 months!!! that's just ridiculous.
the wirefly friends website has some amazing prices for phones and I'm wondering if they're legit and if there are some loopholes i'm missing.
they have the razr for like $20 OTD and the sony walkman phone for $0 (after cingular $100 MIR).
can someone who has ordered from wireflyfriends.com (NOT wirefly.com) please shed their experience.
at this point, i'm ready to go with whichever carrier and store who can give me a good deal on phones and family shared plans.

Oh my F**KING GOD!

Run away screaming from Sprint. Even a $5 a month plan is not worth the customer service nightmare. I spent over 80 minutes on the phone with three levels of customer service rep and two technical service people trying to get the right plan on my phone.

I am still not sure I am all set because the Sprint web site is not displaying the correct plan.

Allow me to provide some exerpts from the phone call with a customer service "MANAGER"...

ME: So, you are telling me you can not access the internet to view the SERO plan?
CSM: No, there is no internet access here.
ME: No access in your country at all?
CSM: We are not allowed to access work related items from outside the office.
ME: So, your employer restricts your access to public internet sites from home?
CSM: Yes.

a few minutes later, related to the fact the plan is listed on the site, but "not in the system"

ME: So, are you telling me you would not be upset if you saw a sign in a store window advertising free coffee and when you got your coffee they wanted to charge you $1 for it?
CSM: Sir, I do not drink coffee
[edit: at this point I broke something...I just can't remember what]
ME: Ok, how about if it was free F**KING water!!?? You must drink water or you would die! Not that it would be a bad thing in my opinion, as you would be purifying the gene pool.
CSM: Sorry sir, I can not access the internet.

Finally I reached someone in the US in tech support and they claimed to fix my problem. This still remains to be seen.

STAY AWAY FROM SPRINT AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!

Pyro yelling and swearing at some little third world person who is doing they're best to supply food to their family. A person who wants the same things out of life as you do but has no possible hope of that happening AND who is being polite in return demonstrates why most of the world hates "us" arrogant Americans.
Do you have a clue that they "can't" agree with your logic- if they do they'll be fired and then the family doesn't even eat. Can you imagine sending your children to their little mat on the floor to bed hungry because some American Jerk managed to get you to resond in the same awful way that he did. That you finally broke and screamed back that "yes he sees the basic logic of your argument what do you think he's so stupid he can't follow along- that he's not the moron you are because you don't understand that your so wrapped up in getting a "DEAL" on a cell phone that you can't see that where he lives if employees don't take the crap from people like you there's a billion or so more people willing to -because if they take his/her job then their families will get to eat tonight- no not basic medical care- no not affordable clean housing, not thing's like cell phones or computers, tv's , toys for thier kids descent clothes or a vacation out of their dismal exsitance just food- no not dinner at applebees- outback- or even Denny's but maybe some bread, rice, hummis and water you know extravagant things like that.
SPrint at fault? oh yes they are but at least you were able to put one more bright moment in anotherwise very heartbreaking existance.:(

If you want to get on the sero plan do not call them but use the ecare email option. I did that this morning and I just got on the $30 plan. I wanted this plan for when I get my treo. I did not even have to give a employee email address.

1) Life is not fair.
2) Life will NEVER be fair.
3) I have already boycott every company that outsourced customer service to some country where they barely speak english, including Dell & Buy.com.
4) If we all took the time to worry about everyone around the world who was starving and living in dirt floored huts we would not be able to fully enjoy the comforts of our lifestyles.

Sorry, but we don't have to have the same opinion. Yet another benefit of living here in the US.

I suppose I should write something back on topic before I get banned or the thread gets locked, so I will update the readers with the fact my on-line sprint account is STILL not correct. Next stop, sprint store to return the phone and better business bureau to file a complaint.

Oh joy!
