So has sign ups through the website been fixed? There have been earlier posts of people saying they ordered online but when they got their access the contract was wrong, I really rather avoid having to call CSR who knows how many times to make sure they set up my plan correctly.

Call them up and tell them you were told you get a discount by being a credit union member. ie ING 10%, et al.

gar598, *2 should get you to the correct extension (eventually).

edit: Don't forget your loyalty discount if you've been with Sprint for awhile.

Kyusaku, you will definitely spend hours on the phone with Sprint to get your plan corrected. This is a cluster and a half. It is certainly not worth the effort unless you have tons of free time to spend on the phone.

Good Luck!

Has anyone been able to keep their original phone number? My current contract is up, but my only concern is changing phone numbers. Any suggestions?

Are you with sprint currently?

I think people who aren't with sprint seem to have no problems porting their numbers, but from what a Sprint CSR told me... it's a little more complicated and not necessarily guaranteed.

Before they create your new phone with phone #... tell them to call Sprint and ask them to put a reservation on your current number. That way, when your old number goes back into the pool, it gets snatched up and held for you...

Then, they'll probably give you a new #, but you'll be able to call them after the reservation happens (for me, it took about 24 hours, but that might have been because I didn't ask them to reserve until *after* my number got put in the pool.) and they'll ask you for another phone to call you on, then help you reprogram your phone with the old number.

Hi, I would like to sign up for this plan but unfortunately don't know any Sprint employees. If a kind soul would be willing to help me out, please PM me. Thanks in advance =)

Haha, thanks are they open on weekends? My weekdays are usually busy.

Another question though, my sister was interested in changing her plan and asked about possibly sharing this plan is it possible to add another line and stay under the same 500mins? Sorry if my question is a little foolish I've never done one of these plan sharing deals some of these services have.

******Edit*************
Nevermind, searched the slickdeals thread and found my answer, more lines could be added but cannot share a plan.

Some companies get a corporate discount (employee discount) from Sprint. I think the discounts range from 10-25%.

Ripped from another board:

SERO, which offers your friends and family savings of up to 65 percent, will be available throughout 2006. And, in the coming months, more of your friends and family will be able to take advantage of the offer.

The Independent Wireless One (IWO), Gulf Coast Wireless and US Unwired markets (covering Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Louisiana, Mississippi, Texas and Albany, N.Y.) are already fully integrated. Your family members and friends in those markets can take advantage of the SERO program today.

In March, SERO will be available in the Alamosa and Enterprise markets covering parts of Wisconsin, Texas, New Mexico, Missouri, Kansas, Illinois and Georgia.

So we can get multiple discounts stacked? Ive already got my 12% employer discount but i think my school gives another 5%. Is it true that I can have both of them on it?

From the various boards I have read, there's a good chance. As always, YMMV.

I am also a CU member...WOOT!
When we get the plan down to *FREE* do we quit trying?

Already, I feel guilty for probably causing Sprint to go to alltimerecordnewlows.
Now, with this Sprint plan, I am paying half as much as I did in December and getting twice as much service. This has saved me $350/year, at least (I could take up smoking).
I can't understand why everybody hasn't jumped on this. :D:D:D

Probably requires activation.

i think they're already offering the phone at that price, aren't they? i saw their sales flyer when i was there earlier this week, and the asterisk for activation required was next to only the sprint rebate, not compusa's erebate.

of course, the erebate can be submitted that day and will tell you if its good. if not, just return to the store.

Hi. I'd like to sign up for the SERO plan but I need a Sprint employee email as a referral. Would any Sprint employees be willing to help me out with one? thanks.
