Pyro, you are an idiot my friend. Everyone who has signed up for this plan knows the online DOES NOT reflect your plan, usually stating you're on the "fair n flexible" plan. Perhaps you should jump off the building so we can keep the gene pool cleaner..

the point being we all suffer frustration with these companies but just trying to be nice isn't that hard. Don't get me wrong I understand how you feel I spent SEVERAL hours talking on the phone to various parts of the world and U.S. csr or Indian CSR's OR Philapino csr's all struggled to help and for us to understand each other. all over the course of today. I don't know how they do it I'd be fired the first day. (we both probably would... no?)

Sorry for the riot act.

your boycott efforts demonstrate a good sense of justice and injustice.
You are right there is really nothing we can do to help but maybe just be pleasant.:brokenheart:

If we all took the time to worry about everyone around the world who was starving and living in dirt floored huts we would not be able to fully enjoy the comforts of our lifestyles.
Altruism stops here. If you look that up, you'll be able to complain some more.

The definition of Altruism to which you refer specifically derives from zoology. It refers to individual sacrifice for the good of the species. Perhaps you have not heard of the overpopulation problem causing famine and the spread of diseases throughout the human species. If the least affluent portion of the world population decreased significantly (for whatever reason...including loss of income) the species would be better off. I guess I am altruistic after all, since I am sacrificing some of the best deals from places with outsourced customer service in an effort to help control widespread overpopulation.

If say I sign up, then my GF signs up a week later, can we refer each other? Basically I refer her, she and I get $25. Then she refers me and we get $25 each again? Total of $50 each? Can this be done?

I think you missed something. Neither of you have an account right now. Therefore it is impossible for you to "refer" her. Once she is signed up, though, she can refer you and you will each get $25.

Why is it such a hard question? I thought I stated it fairly simply. I DO have an account, and she will to in a few days. Can we refer EACH OTHER, so that we both get the $25 each, twice. That would equal to $50 EACH! Please someone understand my question........

looking at the nextel plans but they require a nextel employees email and ID number appearently they more stringent on thier policy than the Sprint side of things. A PM with a willing fellow AT'er would be greatly appreciated
-thanks

Once again, If you read in the program details you see that you only need an id OR an email address, the id part is in there for former nextel employees only.

No, NYCFella420, two numbers can be paired only once. You and your GF can only get $25 each.

Sweet! I just got the plan switched over. I'm in Oakland, CA. I printed up the plan and went to the Broadway Sprint store. They said they couldn't start the plan there, but I could start an account with them and call CS. I also managed to get them to price match wireflyfriends.com's offer on the A900 and got it for 139.99. Total I paid out the door was 150 w/ tax.

After some struggles (stupid *2 line kept routing me to a message saying the office was closed) I was able to talk to someone from the business dept. The number you want to call is 1-877-812-1223. The CSR was very pleasant was definitely from the midwest I believe (had a southern twang to her voice). I did have to call 3 times to finally get a hold of her (I was dropped the first two times). She knew exactly what I was talking about and all I needed was an email of the employee who referred me.

From her explanation, the SERO 500 is just a discounted version of the fair & flexible plan because you still get charged $5 for every 50 minutes you go over. It also has several free promotions lopped into it, so when you check it online, it will say Fair & Flexible.

I am loving the A900, but I have to agree with NYCFella in that it does not have a very long battery life when you're streaming live content, but the EVDO is freakin awesome. It totally blows away my girlfriend's Verizon Treo on web speed.

thatguyant,

I just tried to do the exact same thing, and the number you supplied didn't work. They tried to transfer me to employee accounts, which didn't work. Then they gave me the right number to call and I did call it but as soon as I told the CSR what I was trying to do she said that I had to be either an employee account or a new customer. So now I'm kind of stuck.

btw all in response to my previous posts I did get the A900 for $20, the one exception is that you have to start out with a $60/month plan but you can switch it immediately after your first month of service, so to me that was another $25.

it doesnt look like I'll be able to get the SERO plan though unless someone comes up with a better way for me to switch onto it.

It did take me a few tries. Sorry the number didn't work, it was the number the CSR gave me before she transferred me. She said it was for "business" accounts. The original number I dialed was one I got from the Sprint store. 1-888-788-5001. You should call until you get an "American" sounding CSR... the first one had an accent, but the second one knew what I was talking about and transferred me to the right person.

P.S. at the end, she had to switch me to a new number than the one that I originally signed up for. For people that want to port your number over, I suggest you do what I did. When I opened an account I just got a new number. That way if anything went wrong I could still keep my old number w/ my old provider. I plan on keeping both providers (verizon & sprint) for the next few weeks before I decide on which to keep. If I choose sprint, i'll go ahead and port over my verizon number.

I just tried to sign up at a Sprint store, and was told they couldn't do it. They also kept asking where I worked and what my employee ID was (I explained three times I did not work for Sprint, that I was referred by a Sprint employee, hence the "employee referral offer".

They looked at me weird, called the manager and other employees, asked me all kinds of questions, and eventually said they couldn't do it in store and that I'd have to do it online.

Except they don't ahvet he a900 online any more in my zip code. BAH!

evilroot:

Yeah, you'll encounter that with most in-store sales. Most stores aren't aware of the offer because they are in direct contact with customers on a daily basis. This offer was intended for the corporate employees (like me) who although work for Sprint, don't have anything to do with the wireless/cellphone stuff, yet still want to get our friends/family in on a good cellphone deal.

Yeah . . . I went to another nearby store, and they knew what I was talking about. However the manager says it can not, should not, and will not be done in-store. She called three other people to verify that. She said if anybody had set it up for a customer in store they were violating procedures by doing so.

Oh, well. Guess I'll just have to wait and hope the website gets the a900 back on the list. Thanks for the help Meritt!

I had changed my number and plan yesterday then came upon this thread. I looked through the plans and then spent an hour last night trying to get a hold of someone that could change my plan to SERO. They kept transferring me but it would bump me back into the automated system. I finally found out that the people they were transferring me to were closed. Then I called 3 times today. The first person said that you can't be switched to the plan without cancelling and restarting service and I would have to pay an ETF and she couldn't do it but I would have to go to another dept. The second said that I would have to do it in a store and you can't do it online. The third asked a lot of questions and eventually he understood what I wanted. He took a long time but my information is updated online and it looks like it is correct with all the goodies. $6 cheaper for 250 more minutes and some extras that could come in useful.

I just called again (employee accounts) and this time she told me the only way to do it was the website. I really thought I had this one. Oh well, I just noticed that there was an e-mail address specifically for SERO on the website so I fired one off. I will keep trying different CSRs for a couple days, I don't care if I have to switch my number again if I can get the 500 anytime minutes for -$6.

Thanks all.

Is anyone seeing the LG PM-225® (Camera Phone)
for Sprint PCS for free? It's showing $50 for me after rebate.

I waited long enough to reply to this. Perhaps you noticed I did not say the website did not show the "SERO Plan". What I wrote was the website was still incorrect. In fact, it still showed a $10 per month charge for vision and a $5 per month charge for pcs-pcs on top of the 300 minute fair and flexible plan. There are three glaring errors that have not yet been corrected.

If you make this type of assumption all the time, perhaps you will help clean out the proverbial pool by cleaing your guns when you assume they are unloaded?

Have a nice day :)

I just signed up for this. I'll go from paying $72/mo on T-Mobile to ~$45/mo on Sprint. I saved enough $$/mo to buy a Sprint Treo 650 (I've currently been using an unlocked GSM Treo 600).

Don't forget to add any discount(s) you're qualified for. It's better to do this with mutiple calls.
Call 1: corporate
Call 2: credit union

Is there a way to have your old number redirect to your new number? Or at least have a message indicating it's been changed?

What numbers?
