About the monitor, I was looking at this ever since anand did the review and decided this was going to be mine!!! I figured it would be a while before it went on sale, and now its here!!! This also seems like a great deal, I was on the verge of buying the samsung 191T for 630ish on newegg but when I saw this monitor was on the way, I waited. 800 shipped (with tax) is a great deal for a monitor this size and a speed of 16ms. (Should be good for gaming, or as good as a 17incher)

Does anyone think that dell will run any stackable coupons or should I catch this while its a deal? (The 25% is here until Dec. 10)

I looked for a coupon with my latest Dell mailer...nothing there or revealed in a google.

My concern about waiting to long is the Anand effect on stock. That would have been devistating to me, considering the quality of this LCD at the price too wait too long and find it OOS.

Just received my confirmation. Ho! Ho! Ho! :D

don't have to say codes or anything - just is it worth looking?
I have a 15% off $799 coupon that expires today 12/05, not applicable even if I add a $51 item. :disgust:

Estimated Ship Date: Monday, December 22, 2003 :(

ya thats the same date that my confirmation stated. Hopefully thats just an estimation and they hurry up! I just ordered an Axim X3i today too...what a day...

To those who are worried about pricing, this probably isnt going to be the best deal that we see for this monitor, but its still $150 under the $900 specified in the anand review, and those who order it are going to be some of the first to have it (without having to order an XPS that is). So even if I'm missing out on maybe another $50 savings, I figure...whateva, I'm still paying $150 less than I was originally willing to pay anyways. Just my thoughts.

Dell has repeatedly stated far later ship dates than actual delivery. The tracking system will say the item is to be delivered 5 days from now, but then the item shows up that day.

ordered one as well.

and got dec 22nd as the estimated ship date too.

I know from past dell orders that when they get a flood of orders, their system automatically pads the estimated ship date ...

usually the order arrives before the dell site even updates itself.

good luck to all who ordered :)

19" 1901FP is 543 at smb...i can't justify 200 more for that...but it would be cool

well the 2001FP is adding 1.1" to your viewing area, upping your native res to 1600x1200, and dropping your response time from 25ms to 16ms. If i already had a 19" FP then I wouldnt bite, but if your just looking at both options, those factors to me make $200 a worthy investment. the anand article also states other advantages of this monitor as well...

16ms + 1 inch onto the screen is well worth the 200 IMO.

plus you're getting the monitor that is worth more right now than what it's selling for.

So if you want to off it later, you'll get whatever you spent on it.

i'm very lucky that my visa debit card has a $500 per-day/per-item restriction on it, because my instincts are telling me to get all over this, and in reality i shouldnt be spending the money on it.

I rationalize it this way: 60 hour work week, 25% in front of my minotor when I'm not travelling.

My entertainment is nearly exclusively in front of the monitor (when not on the road), so it's a combo good investment and incentive to keep working. :D

Eeps, I can't believe I jumped onboard! I'm staring at a Dell 2000FP right now, why do I need a Dell 2001FP?

Anyway, I do a lot of gaming on my computer so I'm hoping the 16ms will make atleast a slight difference.
I also like the look of the 2001FP with its sexy, thin bezel.

it's a 2100~!!! not 2001 :)

16ms will rock for gaming. I'm currently on 25ms and I barely notice any ghosting. You should off that 2000FP on ebay and replace it with this.

Don't forget higher gas prices, since it's illegal to pump your own gas. Highly trained gas station attendants are shipped in from out of state since the average Oregonian is deemed too incompetent to pump their own gas. :)

BTW, what states besides Oregon do not pay tax with Dell Small Business?

Small business saleswon't work on your Dell Preferred account. they call to verify your company Tax ID# :(:(:( (I tried doing that already)

I really tempted to pick up one a 2001FP, but my 1800FP is such a nice LCD and I'd hate to part with it.
