Hmmm. I love my 212+ on my X4 630 and was going to get another one at Micro Center for $25 (on sale) for my new 2500k. Think it's worth the extra $15 bones?

No. Cooling is similar so not worth the extra unless you're cramped for space.

It's compatible, same mounting holes as 1156 🙂
 
Maybe these are just being clearanced because they are discontinued? Get 'em while they're hot! FWIW the H60 that replaces it doesn't perform any better, but is quieter.
 
Damn. Had one in my cart for in-store pickup (6 local stores had them) and was about to enter my credit card info. Had to leave the house in a hurry for an hour and came back to a timed out session and no way to order one now. Joyous!
 
i couldnt do it... it would be a kick ass cooler to have, but for what? so i can overclock my cheap components... dont think so. i thought about buying it for future use but i have to get better about that, i buy a lot of shit i never really use.

BB will report OOS if the number drops to 2 or less. I've been wanting a Blu Ray and it said OOS but I went to the store and they had it. I spoke to somebody there and apparently their inventory system sucks.
 
Thanks OP! Picked one up at my local BB - installed tonight and temps are great on my overclocked/overvolted Phenom II 920. This thing was a little tough to fit into the Thermaltake V3 Black, but I made it work.

So far I've got it setup so that the cool air gets drawn into the radiator from outside the case and heated air goes into the case - I'm not sure I like that, but it doesn't seem to have any real world impact on my other components at this point.
 
I think you're supposed to blow air INTO the case according to some reviews I read. I picked one up (and got rid of some BB gift cards....bonus!), but I haven't set it up yet. I'll probably wait for a new build.
