Only people who really can't stand Bill Oreilly would say he got pwnd. I thought Bill did pretty good overall given he was making politcal comments and was still receiving applauses from the crowd. I don't udnerstand why political commentators ever bother going on a late night tv program and start talking politics. Political discussions should stay on CNN and Fox and MSNBC stations. Obviously Dave was going to try and do anything to get laughs. He did not do much research on Bill because he does not want to get into a political debate with Bill.
Personally I can't stand David Letterman. Conan is much better. Even Jay Leno is better. If news and political commentators go on late night tv talk shows, they should just talk about funny stuff in their lives, not politics.

OMG, you really are a dumb fvck aren't you??!! I thought you just ACTED ignorant as part of your persona here, but it appears it's part of your very core. Did you even watch the video in your link there friend? Did you even watch the Letterman video?
Before I go any further let me clarify one thing. I am not pro Bill or David in this issue, that's not my point here. My point is that dumb sh1ts like you propegate bs without even looking at/reading what you use as eveidence to back your self up.
Let me spell it out for you Aimster. Last night O' Riley said they were suing over the colors of the napkins being red and green. He made NO, and I repat NO mention of them suing about clothing of any kind or color.
Now, after following your link and seeing that video of O' Riley saying a "retraction" I feel compelled to ask you how that is considered lying. The video plainly shows that he made a MISTAKE and corrected it on air HIMSELF. It wasn't a matter of him making ****** up and someone else calling him a liar. HE CORRECTED HIMSELF.

I wasn't making any jab at anyone's intelligence, and wasn't even trying to compare Letterman to Stewart in those terms.
The comparison I was making was that neither the Late Show or the Daily Show are geared towards heated political debate - they both want the shows to be more light-hearted, easy to watch, and have comedy throughout the show. It doesn't matter who can debate who, it's instead a matter of what type of show Letterman & Stewart want to produce.
Even though I agree with all of O'Reilly's points, I thought he should have left them on the Factor, and talked about something different on the Late Show. That's all.

Bill lied about the colors, whether they were the color of clothes as on his show or the color of plates and napkins as he stated on Letterman. Period. End of story.
The lawsuit that he referenced is about parents trying to pimp their elementary school child as a witness for Jesus to other elementary school children and being disallowed. He insinuates it is about "Christmas colors" because the parents say that it was. If he would have requested a copy of the letter that ASKED for them to bring only white items without denying them the right to bring any other color, he would have seen that for himself.
To summize, he was contacted by the district's lawyer with the corrected info. He still lied and misrepresented the case. If Letterman, Stewart, Conan or my dog would have been giving any of his talking points 15 minutes in advance, he would have been royally pwned. Since they weren't given them, he is merely owned for having to lie to sell snake oil when he clearly knows what he is saying is a falsehood. It is a very weak man that can't stick to the truth when confronted with a choice.

O'Reilly was not trying to deceive or mislead anyone. If he wasn't aware of all the facts when he made his initial statement, then sorry, but that's not lying. I don't expect anyone to be able to know everything about everything, no one has that capacity. So atleast he was able to admit he reported something incorrectly, that's more than I can say for most people here.
It's only conserded a "lie" to someone who already hates O'Reilly.
Same here... Dave come off as kinda of emotional without any facts to back up his opinion - basically he just came off like he didn't like Bill.
Bill on the other hand, pretty much countered point for point rationally & professionally...
They were pretty much in character - Dave an entertainer & Bill a respected journalist.

So, he is told at least three weeks earlier that this is not true and states it anyway. When you ARE MADE AWARE of the facts and you still repeat an untrue statement, you are lying.

Respected by whom? And a journalist? He hasn't been one since he left Hard Copy. He is a talking head parroting views that are fed to him. Nothing more, nothing less.

Personally it would have been more entertaining and useful if they had brought a 3rd party in who was smart enough.

Didn't get to see the Christmas part but I don't know how anybody with any intelligence at all can say that there has been no pressure on the Holiday.
One of my house guests last week was my mom a dem( thats ok I still love her)
She drives a school bus. She was wearing a sweatshirt when she visited that said Merry Christmas on it . Somehow in the conversation in her talking about being warm as she drives it came out that she used to wear this shirt to work around Christmas but she can't anymore its against the rules.
I said now wait mom, you are telling me that they came right out and said you can not wear a sweatshirt to work that says Merry Christmas?
Her answer was Yes.
The fact is school districts all over this country are doing similar illegal things because they are intimidated and advised by the aclu.
Of course she is not going to complain or fight this because she needs the income...isn't it odd that we feel its so important to protect certain types of free speech like porn but we can intimidate people from freely saying Merry Christmas?

I would like to see a policy in writing that she can't wear that shirt. If they don't have one and she wore it and was fired or anything else, I bet you anything that the ACLU would be fighting for her. Also, I would like to see a single example of the ACLU advising anyone to do this.

You know something doesn't have to be in writing to prove its true nor is it written in blood that something is true because someone put it on paper.
But any court of law puts an awful lot of creedence in eye witnesses how many eye witnesses would it take for you...I wonder?
As much as I hate Bill, he in no way got owned, he was getting beaten back pretty early, but came back towards the end and saved himself.
