interesting...since i know some women who choose to be with males which I can definiately tell you are NOT alpha males. On the other hand, I know other women who
ARE looking for guys who are the alpha males. As you can see, it differs case by case.

Yep, that's my next project 🙂 LOL, that sounds so bad but it's true. I'm currently now about to start my Master's, finally. I do still need to get that pesky test out of the way. So, I'm going to be spending my free nights at a bokstore, like barnes and nobles, "studying." Any free chicks with a book in hand, I might "interrupt" my studies for as a "break" because everyone needs a break. Good thing barnes and nobles has coffee and snacks for breaks 😛

Not always the case that women want alpha males. Just like men are genetically "wired" to BE alpha males, however we all aren't. Yah, certain roles, and attraction schemes will work 9 times out of 10 if you are looking to get LAID. I have zero problems with getting my nuts off if I want. Heck, I could call right now for a nooner with some really skanky girls I know. Would I? no. I'm not into damaged goods or girls like that.
When you have progressed passed 25 and get closer to 30 gigapet and are STILL single, then you can comment.
I was hoping you would make that distinction and there is a very good explanation for why this is.
Beta = good father to raise kids and a good provider, generally a nice -- the one she usually settles down and marries
Alpha = good for being the biological fathrer of children and passing on good alpha genes --- the one she cant help but being attracted to and caught up in a hot passionate lustful fling.....the one she cheats with

it all depends on what she is looking for. and i can tell you honestly, unless there is some sort of attraction with even what you consider the "beta", she isn't going to even date him unless she is really THAT desperate. And if that's the case, the guy better know what he is walking into.

men are not genetically wired to be alpha. This is not PC but Face it some people are just genetically inferior-----beta.......its darwin at work man.....back when we were hunter gatherers in small tribes....the alpha male was banging everyones wife subsequently passing on his genes while the beta raised the kids that he thought to be his........while the betas had to take mating opportunities on the rare occasion that they were given to them.
survivaly of the fittest is still very much alive today. Look at all the hollywood hearthrobs that every woman wants....... brad pitt, james bond, pacino, di nero, all VarYing in looks but all alpha.

1) Most of the time, lots of women don't even know what they want. I've had several women who have testified to this.
2) Maybe in a few years you'll realize that the world is not exactly as black and white as you color it.

On the assumption of the alpha male, your correlation is to experience, media, and watching "animals" out in the wild.
First off, the species humans are closest to are chimps and bonobos. NEITHER of which are alpha male dominated species. Chimps are warlike with other tribes of chimps outside their family structure, but are not alpha males. Bonobos, often called Pygmy Chimpanzees are not warlike at all. In fact, they are a matriartical structures species. They use SEX to resolve disputes instead of violence. Orangatanges are a good third closest and they aren't an alpha male dominated species either. In fact, the only great ape society that is are gorillas. Silverbacks being the most alpha male dominated ape species.
Now, looking closely at ALL species, is it usually the female thatselects mates? for most sexual species yes. Are most females hard wired to select mates that pass along their strongest "genes?" Yes, but it's not so clear cut as you put it. They are wired to pass along genes hard wired by their ENVIRONMENT. Ahhh haaa!!! Now we get to the difference. You see, alpha male != auto attraction by human females. Historically human females are attracted to men that FIT THE ENVIRONMENT BEST.
Now, that makes perfect sense and why your statement fits in with mine. You see, in America, the male portrayed by media, stories, and everywhere as being attractive, successful, and the best to pass along genes are ALPHA MALES. There are plenty of countries outside the US that have zero such influence and women of those countries are attracted to completely different qualities in men.
The only driving need hard wired into women is a condition of attraction to find a mate that will pass along genes to their children that will give their children the best possible future. What those qualities are will always be DICTATED by situation and environmental stimuli. One period in time it going to be alpha male, as it is now in our current society. It is true we have to deal with the here and now, which is why I'm looking to move to a different country where women aren't attracted to the apha male at all. Japan for example 😛 They have a different set of values they push off on young girls there for how men who succeed get girls. I'm serious. Other countries have other ways.

You make some interesting points but I think there are some universal attributes of men that could be described as alpha. Culture influences behavior -absolutely 100% true, but there are certain absolutes that trigger attraction in females. Asian culture promotes male dominance over woman anyways. They are traditionally much more responsive to a dominant male than in our country where like you said the image of alpha is more "hollywood" driven. It does come down to dominance. If you can be the ost dominant(not necessarily physically) but if you are in a situation and you cn control it or dominate that reality you are the alpha. Women pick up on this and are attracted to it. In other cultures women dont get a say at all about who they are married off too so its rediculous to even speculate on how they react to alpha men.
