My Tests and Measurements course that I took as an undergrad pretty much convinced me that IQ tests don't mean a whole lot... and I scored quite high as a child.
Intelligence is a psychological contruct that hasn't quite been analyzed conclusively. She might just be good at taking tests!
Just out of curiosity, though, is there any even remote correlation between IQ and "smarts"? I mean, are there many total idiots that have high IQ scores?
Nah, stupid people can be successful in life, too. Doesn't mean that they aren't stupid. Would they necessarily have low IQs?
I don't really believe in IQ tests. To me, they are crutches to make people feel better about themselves if they haven't done that well in life. I don't see any correlation with high IQ tests and being successful or even acting "smart". I've seen lots of stupid acting people with high IQ tests. I don't admire that at all.
She just doesn't seem smart to me. A gym teacher is supposed to be concerned about health and fitness -- and yet she gets a boob job?
She takes off all her clothes to get some peanut butter and chocolate -- and yet it is clearly obvious there was no need to do that. Based on past offers, all a person had to do was to jump off -- and they would get a food treat.
The comments she made about her and Jenna being known as the "Survivor Girls Gone Wild" clearly indicate to me that she would have taken any excuse to take off her clothes to show off to the world what a great body she has. She probably fantasized that this would make her the most popular Survivor contestant of all time.
I normally am so desperate to have attractive girls like me but with her I would have voted her off. For some reason the way she bragged about being one of the pretty cute girls turned me off.
I wanted Matt to win too. I thought he was a really nice decent guy. I kind of felt sorry for him because I got the impression most of the other people didn't really like him or something and that he was so naive that he didn't know it.
What a rip off matt deserved to win. What the hell I thought that he would get christy's vote, and probably deena's.
People with low IQ score usually say this to justify to themselves that they're not really dumb.

No, it's not 'clearly obvious' because you're wrong. They only have food offers every once in awhile... usually 15 mins i believe. Somebody took the reward offer before them, then Jenna said she would go naked for some chocolate and peanut butter... and they brought chocolate and peanut butter out.
One word: ridiculous. Matt "outplayed" the second half of the concentration camp twins by a longshot.

The funniest part about you making fun of the Heidi IQ comment was how you butchered her name.
I have to admit, the more I saw Jenna later in the game and on the reunion, the more I liked her. I still don't like her very much, but she did grow on me a little.
It really seemed like she was hanging off Matthew, even after she won. I wonder if she's getting rides on the crazy train.
Yeah - I can't stand her. She was soooo upset that her pledge crown and sorority jacket were burned in the fire because they can NEVER be replaced. Puuulease! I had laughed at that moment porbably a much as I laughed about the fact that she brought that stupid crown with her. WTF is up with that?
I couldn't stand those two girls. I was also highly annoyed with the "we're so beautiful and everyone is jealous of us" routine. Rob wasn't much better with his "pity me" attitude. He had some serious jealousy toward the other guys throughout the show.
The comment that got me was that the crown had been passed down for 3 or 4 years. She made it sound like it's her grandparents wedding rings or something.
Yes, she did. And the further removed from the game she was, the more Heidi looked like a prostitute.

Matt almost eliminated himself setting the old boat on fire, LOL. I was watching him poor the white gas on it, then he was standing very close and I was thinking "hmmm, better not try and light it from that close..." Whoooosssshhhhh!!

I was beginning to think that Rob was going to weasel his way into the win. I figured that both Matt and Jenna would think they could win against him because he screwed so many people. But, when it came to the vote I thought those people would lighten up and realize he outplayed them a la Christy.
Um, Heidi called herself a "mastermind" about a minute before she was voted out. Her IQ can be astronomical but she has no common sense. You all saw her and Jenna laying in the sun when they Alex and Rob had a majority. Why should they work when they had the power right? You all saw her and Jenna lounging by the fire when Matt, Butch and Rob had the numbers. Why should they work when they were leaving next anyway right? Rationalize doing nothing all you want, but don't lay around for 3 days, lose immunity and then say you "worked hard" and "deserve it."
Yes Matt worked hard at fishing and so forth, but being a freak and in Rob's pocket for most of the show didn't win him much respect among the other people. How would you feel to see a guy still around a week after you saying, "Gee, I'm learning about the game now and working on strategery" Would you feel like he earned it?
Jenna got lucky with immunity. The whole show came down to that. Rob set his windup toy Matt on the path to second place and hitched his wagon up for the ride to the top, but Matt decided he'd rather play grabass with Butch in the maze. Then he started thinking for himself and it all went to hell. A deal with Jenna, a dive in the final immunity, and Rob's fate was sealed. But Matt was second fiddle no matter who he took. Well, maybe he could have beaten Butch. Sure he worked hard, and on the physical stuff he outplayed, but he couldn't outwit the treemail scarecrow.
FYI there have been health risks associated with breast implants for awhile now, though I believe they are much safer than they once were.
