Last night, my POS neighbor called the 2 black kids who were playing with my kids "awesome people" to their face, I went over to his door when they told me and he says they're making to much noise playing in the yard between our two places.(it was 6:30, and they were playing soccer)
we had words, and he asks me if " I want to settle this outside, if so he'll get his shoes on and come out" so I said come on out. of course he wouldn't.

my kids are 6 and 8 and white, their were 2 black kids 5 and 7 ( i think ) and a Filipino friend who's also 6. all very well behaved kids. I was so mad I was shaking, I wanted to tear him apart so badly :|

anyone know if there are any laws against making racial slurs in Florida?

Wife has afriend who checked him out, several arrests, GTA, cocaine, domestic battery, 2 aliases...real nice guy

While this guy is (apparently) stupid, so is the above, if it were to be (is?) implemented. Do you really want the state to make decisions on what you can say?

The parts of first amendment about free speech werent included to protect popular speech.

All this talk of free speech is quite lovely, considering the fact that two black kids, who don't know about freedom of speech or at their age give two sh*ts about it, now will remember for years to com being called awesome people by some white trash bastard. And there is nothing that can be done about it?

Seriously, nice to see someone have the balls to say yes. Seems most people cringe and cower and threaten legal action any more when fisticuffs are involved.

And what would you propose? Government restrictions on what you can say? What then happens when the guy acts like an @ss to them? Government restrictions on how rude you can be?

I'm not supporting the asshat, but think things through before you go running to Big Brother for a solution.
 
man it wouldve been great if he had actually come out and gotten his ass kicked.

i dont think there are any legal actions you can take against him...freedom of speech. why not just pull anonymous pranks against him?
 
I propose a neighborhood information distribution center, which would post signs at all major crossings of this guy's house number and statements to children on the street 😀

This isn't exactly related, but...

I got a call from the YMCA my son goes to last year. They weren't upset, but just wanted to let me know my 10 year old son (white) was heard calling a black boy a ni**er. I know my son very well - nicest kid around and very nieve. I know what happended - he overheard the black kids calling each other "ni**er", and did the same to them.

I had an interesting talk with him that night - trying to explain how it's alright for the black kids to call themselves that, but it is NOT alright for you to ever say that. He looked confused, but I think he understands...
 
Just report him as a terrorist suspect. Being stripped of all rights and locked up without access to a lawyer might be a nice lesson for him.

Amazing that your kid can understand how its ok for blacks to call each other awesome people. Because at 25 years of age, I don't understand how it's OK.

Reminds me of when my roommate and I were out in the garage working on our bikes and a neighbor we hadn't met yet comes over to introduce himself. We offered him a beer and just got to talking. Another neighbor(who happens to be black) owns a drag bike and he was testing out the engine. Granted it is rather loud, but it was like 5-6 and he only made two "runs". The guy we were talking to turns to us and says "I hate it when that <FONT style="BACKGROUND-COLOR: yellow" face=verdana color=red><B>n!gger</B></FONT> does that". My roommate and I look at each other and I tell the guy "that's nice finish your beer and leave". He looked all offended by me asking him to leave and just turned around and left.
