Ah.... Tolerance... How I've missed ATOT

As a smoker, there is nothing more insanely annoying than non-smokers telling me where I should and should not go, what I should and should not do...
Worry about yourselves, and if you don't like the smoke, take a couple of steps around it.
I can't stand fat people in spandex, that doesn't mean I run into them and then complain because they didn't move...
Take charge of your own life and let me ruin mine on my own terms, thank you.

I was just bored at the college waiting for my next class so I read and replied to what I felt was the most relevant in the thread. I don't care if I "revived it", but if I did, can it be a bit more civil this time?

I am so tired of you PC morons who have been brought up in this day and age of the PC croud, who complain about everything under the sun. Get a grip! You sound like a whiny child who cannot get their own way. I smoke, and I will smoke anywhere I feel like smoking, and if you do not like it, use the side entrance if I am smoking on the side of a door you want to go through. Please, like it really makes you that uncomfortable.

50 years ago there was none of this crap. The only reason it is this way nowadays is because as I stated, everything revolves around being PC. You can say it has to do with health, and not being PC, but in my opinion, you are just sheeple who do and say what you have heard. You just mimic other people. You would love for our government to have full control over everything in our lives, and it is slowly getting that way sadly, and when it does, it will be people like you complaining about it.

Read some statistics on cancer deaths, and you will find that it is no way near as dangerous as you think it is. Hardly any smokers die of smoking
related diseases, and those who do are predisposed to die this way because it runs in their families. Don't even get me started on secondhand smoke. I have never heard of anyone contracting cancer from it, at least not a documented and proven case.

In my opinion, it is people who smoke who tend to be the life of the party and are fun to be around. We take chances where wussies who complain about everything would not. I am not saying smoking is a good thing, but it is certainly not as bad as some of you would make us think.

I started smoking when you were still allowed to smoke anywhere, like hospitals, resturaunts etc., and it was hardly frowned upon then. Now I feel as though smokers are crucified for doing something that when we started, was not considered such a bad thing to do. You all act as if we can all stop so easily, or as though we even would want to if we could. Personally, smoking relaxes me, and if I did not smoke, I would likely be in jail for murdering some whiny non-smoker. On the subject of bars and resturaunts not allowing smoking such as in Cali, I would boycott any bar or resuraunt that does not allow me to smoke in it, and so would many others. If you look at those resturaunts in Cali who have no choice but not allow smoking, you will notice that their owners are flaming mad because they are losing a lot of business because of it. Smokers make up about 30% of the population in America if I remember correctly, so it is not very wise to alienate us.

It's been proven that smoking is harmful to your health. You want to smoke, fine. Just don't think about smoking near me. If you had any manners at all (which apparently you don't) you would have no problems with that concept. A 5 year old child can understand it.

I wish someone who smoked in front of a building I was entering tried to pull this line. Nothing to do with PC how my opinion on smoke is nor how I'd treat them. Trust me they'd either find a new job or be smoking out back the next day after they recovered.

Maybe it didn't bother anyone as much as you imply. Trust me I say things to people smoking in front of doors esp at shopping places when I have to walk through their clouds.

well that's where we digress. I rule with an iron fist when I am inconvenienced. I understand why smokers want the nice a/c draft, but p!ss off and smoke away from the doors. The sad part about this is the time you protested in RL would be where you are dialing 911 next.

As far as me posting almost 5000 times twit, you do realize 1) post count means nothing without how long a period those posts fall in (my average is 4.88 posts per day....WOW!!!!!) and 2) I work online and have a nice cushy easy job and can even have *gasp* a beer!!!! [neo]whoa![/neo]. However, I think I hear your boss calling, that guy over there with two golden arches on his chest, something about fries needing to be down.
