Ahh stupid Biology. They notified him i'm close to failing. 71. Pfft..

That teacher is so damn irritating. She babbles on and on, no worksheets, no homework, just talks about her powerpoint on the unit.

Its so hard to pay attention. She goes randomly off topic, saying stuff like "My husband and I were talking, *big word* *big word* *big word*"

None of the other schools go in as much detail as her. She's obsessed with her bio bullcrap we're never gonna need. When we studied plants, we went all the way down, breaking into the chlorophyll and stuff, my friend that goes to Central, and also in Honors didnt even go past the basics.

And thats all i'm ever gonna need (if needing any of it)

I'm so pissed. Its allmost the end of the year.

She gave us worksheets for a week straght, and they helped so mutch, i got the stuff cause i knew it was for a grade so i did it. Then she stopped.

And we told her to keep doing it, but she doesnt for some reason.

One of these days you'll be able to look back and say, "Man, my rant sucked!".

While having passed biology, of course.

I completely understand where you're coming from, having been through it myself through high school and the beginning of college. But I put up with it, and you will too. You will come out of it for the better, having passed.

Maybe things have changed since I was in high school, but I thought a 59 or worse is considered failing?

Your whining won't get you anywhere. Pass the class, graduate and get out. Don't whine. And in my class we did go into that material. Tough luck.

Man, isn't high school great?

Yeah, you won't need half of the crap you learn there.

Doesn't mean you can graduate if you don't learn it.

STFU and start learning or line up a good factory job and drop out.

Before I graduated high school, my county had done away with D's. As such, a 69 was failing. I assume this is his case as well. As for the OP, you shouldn't rely solely on the teacher to teach. You are going to have horrid professors in college, so you need to learn to supplement their teaching with outside learning.

Yeah dude, 2 points = 69. And since its close to the end of the semester, she sent a letter.

A 69 is a fail?!? You're in highschool, yes?

Yes, sir.

That can't be right. In my school, a 49 is a fail.
So, you're assuming that everyone that failed at other schools with 69/59-- is lying?
Every school has different requirements for graduation/passing classes.

We went into that detail in HS Bio also...that is NORMAL...
I mean..if you were studying plant bio and didn't talk about chlorophyll or how the cellular stuctures differ from animal cells..you need a better bio teacher...I'd say your bio teacher i pretty good, just rambles....I would also say that if you can't pay attention even if she rambles, that's your own fault..

Oh, no, I'm just saying 69 is quite a high mark. I couldn't imagine that anywhere except a private school.
