This memory worked perfectly in my Asus P5B and E6600. I was having trouble with a 2GB kit of G.Skill PC2 800 MHz, and this Crucial Ballistix kit seems to have solved my problems. I hope the rebate process goes smoothly.

I put this in my Gigabyte 965 DS3 along with a dual channel OCZ kit, for 4GB total, running at default DDR voltage. So, at least in my situation, these chips runs perfectly fine at 1.8. When I use CPU-Z to read the SPD settings, these chips can run at 1000 MHz with cas 5 settings. Good deal.

I haven't really tested these 100%, but I did run Orthos for an hour with my overclocked 4300 - no problem. I also ran Memtest 86+ for over an hour - no problem. I also ran the long test of SuperPI - no problem. I'll probably run Memtest overnight tonight.

what is ur oc setting on E4300?

I have my 4300 running at 2.88 GHz. This translates to bus speed 320 X 9. I have my memory divider set at 2.5, which means my memory is running at exactly 800MHz, which is what I intended. Since I have four sticks of memory, I just let the CAS be set at the 5 default settings. It is fast enough for me. While I have the DDR at default voltage, my CPU core is set at 1.425, which actually translates to 1.375 volt when measure by CPU-Z. This runs perfectly fine and fairly cool with my Artic Cooler Freezer 7 Pro. 28-35C resting, 45 to 55C stressed, variable according to the room temp.

I love this chip. My old 939 dual core opteron running at 2.5GHz took almost 35 seconds to run the 1M SuperPi test. This 2.88 GHz Core2Duo runs the same test in under 20 seconds. I processed a DVD with DVDShrink, using the exact same quality settings. On the Opteron it took 45 minutes. With the 4300, 25 minutes. This is a lot of bang for the buck.

This memory was a good deal. If the rebate comes, my final cost is about $29 per 1GB chip. Considering that this memory is rated to run at 1000 MHz, according to the SPD data, this is a bargain.

I've worked with many E4300s. All were stable up to 3GHz at 1.325 default Vcore. You may want to lower Vcore and check for stability if you don't need the extra core speed. I'm running this E4300 at 3.47GHz with 1.465Vcore.

man these modules oc to 1167Mhz at 5-5-5-15 2T with 2.2V solid
Bet it can break 1200Mhz with little loose timing adjustment

My el cheapo 1GB x 2 DDR2 800 "N5" OEM Kingston ValueRAM is Memtest stable at 580MHz/5-5-5-18-2T with 2.1Vdimm. Other 512MB x 2 single-sided DDR2 800 "N5" OEM Kingston ValueRAM is good up to 604MHz (same timing and Vdimm).
