could it be the happy time is over and this is the last chance?[/i]

Well after seeing that, and seeing that they went up in price on the Crucial website - I bought these. Will have 4GB off my mind for good now. No way these Ballistix, some of the best overclocking RAM available will get any cheaper (though I could be wrong as I thought $72 at Buy.com was as good as it got...)

That's it! I'm not touching anything but the video card in my system (maybe add another hard drive) for the next 2 years!

I was ready to order, but they won't guarantee the rebate if I order today 7/2 and they ship on 7/3 or 7/4. They said order date has no bearing in rebate, just ship date.

rebate should go by date on invoice/receipt I think. check the online printable version on their website and see if the date falls within the rebate eligibility period.

Rebate form says it's valid until the 5th. Unless it's out of stock now I don't think you'll run into any issues.

The extra $10 off promo ends today, I was thinking that the rebate ended today also. Thanks for the correction!!!

I'm pretty sure rebates go by the order/invoice date, and not the shipping date; this is especially important when the rebates must be postmarked withing 10 days of order date (sometimes the item gets shipped too late).

This one had until August 5th to be postmarked I believe so there shouldn't be issues.

Now waiting on the rebate from Rebate Status or whoever handles from my first purchase of this stuff. :\

I think this particular rebate requests the Newegg "packing list." They even go so far as to say the printable online invoice will not count. I'll send them the packing list, but I'll also include a copy of the invoice just to cover my bases. I many times include both in rebates, even though they only request one or the other.

Also a question about Dual channel memory. A friend told me that when buying 2GB for Dual Channel that the system only sees 1GB usable. Is this right?

Your friend is smoking crack!

Same here.. wtf, i thought Newegg and their warehouses were in City of Industry, CA. At least that's where my product has come from them when I ordered before.

Your order ships from the closest warehouse which has the item IN STOCK.

Newegg's address always shows up as their Cali address but they either have additional warehouses situated in locations such as NJ & TN, or they have contracted with Ingram Micro (which has NJ & TN locations) to drop ship for them.

Yep.

"Sorry, the promo code you've entered is invalid."

Still a good deal at 114.99 - 45 = 69.99

Last day on the rebate!

I don't think I'd use this RAM for an HTPC. It needs 2.2v and runs very hot, requiring more noisy cooling than RAM running at 1.8v.

So it says "Limit one rebate per eligible Crucial Ballistix memory kit per household."

Does that mean I can get 2 kits and 2 rebates since it says one rebate per kit???

I'll pull the trigger before midnight is over if ya.

They wouldn't use the words "per household" if you can buy two.
