Looks like 15.3 involves pistols and double-unders.

going by Castro's instagram pic? if so looks like it's on a box for box jumps.

i'm leaning towards 'fake out'

lol Good job! Wall balls are a killer for me, even at the 9' scaled height I had to keep breaking them up.

Thanks man. Sounds like wall balls for you are like burpees for me. Want to see me breathe hard and look like I want to die? Have me do a workout with a bunch of burpees in it. Wall balls are not too bad for me for some reason. I can get just low enough to get a true rep, but no more. Some people call that inflexibility. I like to think of it as "efficiency." :)

I'm pretty sure my difficulty with wall balls and conversely my efficiency with burpees is due to my small stature. At 5'6", with my arms fully extended above me, a wall ball would probably be at about 7 feet and still have 3 more feet to travel before hitting the Rx target. As such, I usually have to jump a bit at the end of each rep to get the ball moving that high. Conversely, I can get down to the bottom of the burpee and back up relatively quickly so each rep isn't as exhausting as it might be for someone who is significantly taller.

Nice job so far, everyone! 3 down, 2 to go. :)

I was hoping to drop by the box and give 15.3 a shot but I ended up catching something while I was in Cleveland so I'm just at home hoping to get better before I leave for the Dominican Republic on Thursday.

I'll be watching the 15.4 announcement from the beach. :D

Ended up being out of town for 15.3 and the judge at the box I did it at never confirmed my score so I ended up with a 0.

Hope you're enjoying some rum and cigars!

As for 15.4:

I can say with great certainty that my Rx'd score would be 3 reps :D

Given that, I'll have a go at the official scaled version tomorrow.

15.4 scaled

Score: 4 rounds (or 80 reps)

Not gonna lie, I did have you guys' scores in mind; thx for going first :)

Only have one bar so switching weights after each movement took ~7-10 seconds. However, my cleans don't finish with my elbows all the way forward (but I do get the bar all the way up to touch collar). Kinda evens out I suppose.

Did 15.4 scaled again today - 81 reps. :)

15.4 RX - 37 reps
Almost didn't do it as I've been battling a cold/sinus infection and haven't gone all week, but wanted to see how I'd do.

Nice! 37 is no joke. Most of the "good" crossfitters in my gym were in that range. We only had a few that were higher. The lead trainer got 107 reps (he was ranked ~2000 in the world before 15.4), and one of the female coaches got 97 reps (not sure where she stands).
