Haha.. you live in your own sweet world, do you?

Everyone screamed the same before 2003.. India didn't even get past the first round.

We almost won, Australia was just too strong at that time and then Ganduli made the worst decision EVAR to field first...

My bad, I actually meant 2007. Anyway, if you go by statistics.. the outcome of the match is never decided by the toss. You blame Ganguly, I blame the whole team.. why couldn't Sachin score in that match? Its all about nerves.. India just got cold feet in that match and could not perform. The same goes for SL in 2007 and Pak in 1999.

India never even came close to winning in 2003. It was one sided from the get-go

lol @ the haters...

India will win the World Cup this time around. The team is unstoppable. This will also be Sachin's crowning glory and I expect he will exit international cricket soon afterwards.

It's so funny that Sachin has more fans than the team! 😀 who cares if India wins or not? Sachin's team should win. right? 😉

Sachin, just like GM, is too big to fail.. the team would never survive without him.

Sarcasm aside, he was injured and flown back to India from SA immediately.. and I guess no one questioned hit fitness when he was selected for the WC.

Lol. Getting so worked up over a dumb game. You commonwealth countries need to come up with something original instead of parroting your colonial masters. 😉

Its not a dumb game you fool, it is THE GAME, take the frustration of your fvcked up life somewhere else...

Frankly, he is a burden on the team, Indian team has done just fine without him and can do better once he retires. He is the corpse of the past the the team is dragging on its shoulders, don't get me wrong, I strongly believe that he is a great player and all that... but its time to go man, seriously. I mean, we have won so many games where his performance was subpar, and we have lost so many games where his performance was outstanding. Once or twice a year we will win because of him but then every game has its heroes. He is not that great anymore.
Although I fell that he should have atleast one world cup under his belt, so I will tolerate him this time around. But that's it, out of sympathy and not for his greatness. Sometimes I fell he brings insults to other players, his ever small achievements is celebrated by the commentators and everyone but others are undermined when he is around.

I know its not Ganduli's fault, it was not his decision alone, but he was a captain, he should have known better how his team would perform under pressure, he should have never agreed to field first. We did reach the finals, thats why I said we almost won, that year Indian team was no match for Aussies, they were just supernaturals at that point, but still whatever little hope there was, it was ruined by that decision at toss, it simply increased the pressure on the team to the point for no hope...

like carrying a ball and running away from each other and calling it football? 🙄

your stupid "world series" is two villages playing each other.. what a "big" world indeed!

Are you flipping serious? Sachin is the only reason India was a serious contender in any game for the past 20 years! Of course, there have been greats like Ganguly (in his prime) but Sachin, although he has had rough patches, has come back with a bang! 200! 200 dude! That is such a monumental achievement in ODI it is to be immensely awe-inspiring.

And, India has done very well under Dhoni's leadership so he is a great wicketkeeper and bastman as well as captain.. Sachin went subpar after he was given captaincy... Ganguly met with the same fate although they rose to the Finals in 2003.

Sachin is a legend, there is no doubt about that. In fact, millions of viewers around the world, some who hate India, watch because Sachin plays! He is also a man of principle and unlike many famous sportsmen, there are no scandals and dubious activities attached to him. Plus, Luca di Montezemolo and Schumacher gifted him Ferraris! That is how famous he is! Italy doesn't even play cricket! XD

What India has needed for a LONG time are good bowlers. Something Pakistan can be proud of; their old guard of Wasim, Waqar, and Imran made people tremble... and India's batting line up is unmatched... Australia has consistency on their side but India has improved tremendously over the past 2 years. The bowling dept. needs to be improved.. and I, for one, loathe Ishant Sharma. That guy plays for the other team.. In fact, whenever he plays, my dad always says India has 10 players and the other team has 12 because Ishant bowls like garbage and gives runs for free! LOL!
