All of you who think Creed sucks... What bands do you like?

(It's not really fair to criticize others' taste in music, without opening yourself up to criticism... Not to mention it's fairly gutless. 😛 )

Here's a cross section:

Dream Theater
Trans-Siberian Orchestra
Righteous Brothers
Roy Orbison

The first album was the best, but just like everyone else they sold out when they became big. Money has that effect on people.

I personally can't stand Creed, or any "crud-rock" as I deem it. Bands like Puddle of Mudd, Creed, Staind, etc just suck to me.

I listen to a lot of different stuff:

The Beatles
Midtown
Bad Religion
Face to Face
Barenaked Ladies
Ween
MxPx
New Found Glory
Angie Aparo
Public Enemy
Beck
Cake

Three songs completely void of the integrity and raw sound off the first album. "What's This Life For" is what all Creed songs should sound like. If you can't tell a difference, you're not a true music lova.

Oh, and "Is This The End" is also a great song!

I own all 3 of their CDs. And I've been to their concerts 😛 People call Creed a sellout after Human Clay. It's just a transition of their music. It's very hard to find a band that releases their first album (in this case My Own Prison) on an independent label and to have their second album sound exactly alike. With song writers and producers you're bound to have that transitioning regardless of genre of music.

Torn, Ode, and My Own Prison are, in my opinion, some of the best songs that have been released in the past 10 years.

I prefer heavier stuff, like Zao, Emperor, From Autumn to Ashes, old Metallica, In Flames, and yes, Meshuggah. Personally, I love the screaming-style vocals.

There's good music being made in all genres right now but the Rock bands I like right now are...
White Stripes, Datsons, Libertines, Strokes.

As for a little heavier stuff...
Old Metallica, Megadeth, Tool.

Any of these bands could be described as SUCKING or BLOWING or LICKING CERTAIN PRIVATE PARTS, but mainstream is hard to come by these days so I give them much respect.

No one is criticizing other's tastes in music.

We are criticizing Creed's ability to make music.

Oh and bands I listen to:

Led Zepplin ( let me know when a band today can do what they did)
Jimi Hendrix (let me know when someone today can play a guitar like him)
ZZtop
Motley Crue (gotta have metal)
Judas Priest (the originators of real heavy metal)

it's called the loss of a bass player and mark tremonti trying desperately to fill that gap while jesus-boy indulges in his ego.

Umm didn't they die out? He got over his angst towards his dad and has his own family. This guy has nothing to sing baout anymore. I just like 1 song.. Torn

However, since I am drummer...I would like to give HUUGE props to the bands drummer. That guy knows how to mix up some awsome beats. He doesnt play the regular beat over and over and over, he can rip it up nicely 😀

IIRC he caught his wife in their bed with another man, and she also humilated him by saying she slept with XX number of men in their bed, in public. She was also arrested for assaulting him IIRC. Thats how that drunken stupor while performing at a concert came about. So I wouldnt say he has his own family anymore.
