P.S. Did you take his money later anyways? 😀Yes I did 🙂
He bluffed a flush with 4 hearts showing. I had a pocket Jacks with a heart. Took him out easy

If you had more chips you should have stayed in. That is a classic bluff. You had a king kicker and most likely would have won or at worst split the pot. Bad move doggiedog.
Um no. A lot of people stay in with A-anything. It's very likely that one of the callers had the last A on the flop.

So what? Besides an A, there is a ton of hands that dominate a K8 in this situation. You're not worried only about an A; you are worried about any PP and a K w/ a better kicker. I'd say these are all strong possibilities, especially when someone calls the all-in in front of you.

the only problem is, I had a Royal Flush. I think I won over $60 from her (not bad for "change jar" poker). We started dating soon afterwards. 🙂

And this is why the bluff works.
There are some, but not a ton of better hands. Most of the possible hands fall below the K 8 (i would guess that at least 80% of the possible hands are below the OP's K - 8). The odds of a bluff are much higher than a winning hand. He obviously didn't have a fool-proof hand, but still, he had a pretty good hand and there were still two more cards to come out.

Since I was big blind I stayed in.
I think someone felt he was bluffing so he called him but since I was the last one to decide and someone else called, I figured it wasn't worth it.

How can there be two or more people to act before you after the flop when you are the BB? You are in second position, only one player acts before you (SB). Just my skeptical nature, I guess.

Nevar! At least bet the pot (since it sounds like a small pot if he was allowed to stay in at BB). Esp. w/ a K-8 kicker..only hand that could beat you really is pocket rockets, but i doubt they'd allow you to see the flop for free...

I beginning to question how much experience you have. Assuming the payers were somewhat competent, they would be likely not to play the bottom 80% of possible hands. That leaves the OP with a hand near the bottom of possible playable hands, not the top as you suggest. In fact, the OP has a hand so mediocre that is was only played b/c the OP was in the BB. I admit we could use complete details as to how the betting began and player position, but this is a relatively easy fold every time assuming you don't have a read on the all-in player. Now, couple this with the fact that someone else called the all-in and it is an EASY fold almost every single time.

Wow, where is your school of poker? I want to join especially since there's 3 Aces on the board I want to know how I can have pocket rockets.
Please teach me.

Well, umm if 3 aces come out wouldn't you check?

Yea, I would. But I was wondering because you never said you had checked. That could change play a little, since the person who went all in didn't have the fourth A, he could have been in a world of hurt, since most people I know and play with would check-raise in that situation, if they held quads on the flop. Hell, I've held PP K's against a board of QQQ, check-raised big to see what would happen, one caller, turn comes rags, I bet & he calls, river A, I bet, he raises, I call (pot odds were too great), he turns A5 to beat me.
BTW, since I must have missed it, what did the pot winner end up having anyway?

I think we were all taken aback by 3 As showing up.
I wasn't sure what to do so I checked. Then the next guy went all in. The rest of the people folded until the guy right next to me called. I folded.
The all-in guy won with king high and some other card.
