Crazy hand of poker I played last night

Nothing too interesting but I was playing hold-em online and drew a K club, 8 diamond.

Since I was big blind I stayed in.

On the flop, 3 aces popped out.

Then some guy went all-in. I dropped but someone else stayed in.

Next card was another ace!

4 aces in a row. Unbelievable!

I should have stayed in. 🙁

Oh well. That was probably a once in a lifetime draw.

same thing happened to me on a sit-n-go table, except it was 4 5's. flop came 5's, then turn the last 5. I won 50 bucks on my Jack kicker 😀

For some reason, I've been getting a lot of 4 of a kinds lately.

I played a tourney at my friend's place last Friday and I got pocket jacks. On the flop, 2 jacks also came out.

Its nice to be in a good position of power so early on. I took somebody out with that hand too which was nice.

If you had more chips you should have stayed in. That is a classic bluff. You had a king kicker and most likely would have won or at worst split the pot. Bad move doggiedog.

I've been deciding whether to jump in and get some nice poker chips for our weekly games ... we're using some pretty good ones right now, but I dont' mind getting those 11.5g for my friends bday. The cheapest chips would be through partypoker?

I know 🙁

Someone else went in before me so I figured I could take a look through him. It wasn't worth it to me at that point to get into a pissing contest with 3 aces out.

back in college i once played poker with a girl who got 4 aces.

the only problem is, I had a Royal Flush. I think I won over $60 from her (not bad for "change jar" poker). We started dating soon afterwards. 🙂

I was in the same situation last weekend.

Pocket jacks and 2 jacks on the flop.

The beauty in my hand, though, was that I was severely short stacked in tourney with 5 players left. I doubled up and then some after slow playing that hand. It was kind of sweet revenge because someone had done the same thing to get me into my short stack situation.

I got pocket aces and another on the flop and another on the turn a few weeks ago. Won some nice money. Proceeded to lose it and then some later, haha.

Odds of four aces on the board by the turn? 1 in 270,725.i

Um no. A lot of people stay in with A-anything. It's very likely that one of the callers had the last A on the flop.

2 nights ago on our first hand I get pocket 9's. Raise before the flop, have one caller. Flop is Q 10 4, I check, he checks. Next card is a 9! I bet 1/4 of my stack, he raises the same amount, I go all in. He calls and flips J K for a straight (9-K). My only outs are a 4, 9, 10, or Q. The river? A 9! Unbelievable.

2 hands later I get pocket kings, raise before the flop, one caller. Flop is rags and a K. He bets, I raise all in, he calls and flips big slick 🙂 Nothing else comes up, but at that point he couldnt have won 🙂

In 3 hands I had tripled up!

A little off topic, but where do people play online hold em for free? I'd like to learn the game a little better without spending money.
