I wonder what country in Asia they're from . . . Even my mom, who is about as Chinese as they come, understands the concept of private vs. public property. . its not as if these rules are different when you're in Asia. It's all the same . . . The only discernible difference is that in apartment complexes in Asia, each unit is assigned a parking spot in the complexes parking lot for their cars . . . however these assigned spots are not on public roads . . . Maybe these women think that since their homes have no driveways, that parking spot is their assigned spot? I'm not trying to justify their actions here, just trying to understand their reasoning. On the other hand, why don't they just park their own car in front of their house so OP couldn't park there even if he wanted to? Unless they don't have a car . . in this case, why would it matter who parked in front?
