Time to park there again while armed with a BB gun from across the street. That'd be fun. Or maybe a paintball gun since those probably hurt more but you need to be closer.

It appears that way in the photo, however, all of those homes have a paved alley that runs behind their homes which lead to their driveways and garages.

The only discernible difference is that in apartment complexes in Asia, each unit is assigned a parking spot in the complexes parking lot for their cars . . . however these assigned spots are not on public roads . . . Maybe these women think that since their homes have no driveways, that parking spot is their assigned spot? I'm not trying to justify their actions here, just trying to understand their reasoning. On the other hand, why don't they just park their own car in front of their house so OP couldn't park there even if he wanted to? Unless they don't have a car . . in this case, why would it matter who parked in front?

Park there again with your driver side wheels on the grass verge. The Cop clearly stated it was nothing to do with them and it will piss them off 11tybn%.

What i wonder is, why didn't you just move one house down to park if they were angry? I understand public vs. private property, but if people parked in front of my house all the time i'd be upset if they didn't ask if it's ok out of common courtesy. Some neighbor used to park their car outside my parent's home all the time and it was a pain to visit my parents because my car would block my dad's car in the driveway and i'd have to move out for him to get out to get to work. I would like to think that my parents and myself would get precedence to park there over anyone else.

Just slip a note under their door with your phone number and talk it out. I remember a revenge thread over at SA that ended VERY badly.
details?
That sounds like the one where the neighbor was stealing cable from him. He disconnected it. They reconnected it. He disconnected it. They reconnected it. He disconnected it and plugged it into an electrical socket. Their house burned down.

Ouch

No, I remember it was the house next door to the people he was targeting, it was unoccupied I think.

Yup, that's the thread, and the police/firemen had the whole thread as evidence.

I get annoyed when people park in front of our house. Once, our neighbor's friend parked their car right in front of our house. So I took one of our cars and parked it in front of her car, and I took another car and parked it right behind the car. That way someone would have to knock on our door to ask us to get out.

Don't know the link.. and it might be archived because it's kinda old. You'd have to have archive access probably.

You do have a point, because I understand both sides. Recently, I went to a party at a friend's townhouse. All of the parking spaces in the town home community are un-numbered and un-reserved. So I parked in the first one that I saw. Some woman nearby says "The owner of that house lives there." And I said "is it reserved? and what does it say that?" She said it wasn't reserved but it was understood. I thought that was BS, but I didnt argue with her, I just moved my car to the street.

I guess my issue with the woman parking in front of our house is that the person's house she was visiting next door has and had plenty of space on the street for parking in front of their place. It almost looked like she was intentionally trying to piss us off.

i've parked there maybe 5 or 6 times over 5 months. The occasions I did park were do to lack of parking at other spots.

I used to park in front of my in-laws' house when we went to visit them. There was a couple across the street who would always leave notes asking us not to park there, which I did not understand at all. It turns out that they were just useless as drivers and wanted the extra space to be able to back their car out of their driveway (this is a street that is at least wide enough for two cars with parked cars on the side). One day, the husband decided to be an ass and come and threaten me - "Don't park your car there as I can't be responsible if something bad happens to it." My response? "Oh I'm not worried about that sir. I'm sure your insurance will take care of it when my dad's webcam catches you backing into it." He never bothered us again (other than dirty looks). I never did set up that webcam though. :D Of course, my in-laws, being the nice people, that they are, asked me to be civil, so the last few times, I just park the car in their driveway instead.

That said, I think you handled your situation much better than I did mine.

EDIT: You get a big, hearty
