Crap or get off the pot about CRT. Name the school district that teaches it.

Open ended question. Name the district that has it on their curriculum. I don't mean getting the history of Martin Luthur King removed (Texas) because someone claims it teaches stuff "related" to CRT. I mean the ACTUAL subject.

I'll be waiting.

Yep. Everything dealing with race = CRT (which they don't even understand)

Just like everything that costs money = radical socialist

Gotta admit the branding is effective. Not worth destroying the country over, though.

I'd have to actually study CRT to figure out an answer, as I only have a vague idea of what it actually teaches. Most of that is hearsay, quotes out of context, and general propaganda. When I first herd CRT mentioned I wondered why anyone would care about Cathode Ray Tubes.

The curriculum is obviously changing in a number of places.

The model curriculum includes goals and principles and sample lessons. Consistent with the state board’s instructions, ethnic studies “shall promote critical thinking and a rigorous analysis of history, the status quo and systems of oppression,” Glover Woods pointed out.

Lisa In FL🇺🇸🏳️‍🌈🏴‍☠️ on Twitter: "@parabola_af @thedismalstudnt @anchorbabynotes @Giovanni_c @wokal_distance Critical Race Theory is not taught in K-12 education. Its a theory that systematic racism is interwoven and embedded in our laws & policies. That statement doesn’t dispute that. DEI, social justice, & anti racism (anti means against) are NOT CRT." / Twitter

Typical "rebuttal" tries to refute what is going on, but then just points out they teach CRT, haha.

But all of the ethnic studies teachers and experts initially appointed by the State Board of Education to draft the curriculum have asked to withdraw their names from it.

In a February letter to the top state educators and policymakers, members of the original advisory committee wrote: “Ethnic Studies guiding principles, knowledge, frameworks, pedagogies, and community histories have been compromised due to political and media pressure. Our association with the final document is conflicting because it does not reflect the Ethnic Studies curriculum that we believe California students deserve and need.”

Theresa Montaño, a professor of Chicana/Chicano studies at Cal State Northridge and a member of the advisory committee, said in an interview that, due to the heavy influence of public comments, the curriculum had moved further and further away from ethnic studies, removing core concepts and terms, and much closer to a multicultural social studies or
history course.

There we go. SJWs do not give a shit about the history itself. I mean, just looking at Huckleberry Finn, that was ~70% of schools IIRC. While I only was in liberal states, the curriculum spent an inordinate amount of time with slavery, civil rights, and Native Americans. I doubt the red states deviate that far from it.

And why do people hate this trend? I think it's obvious just looking at the product from their "best" like Hannah-Jones' Observer article and Kendi's column in The Famuan.

Living with the White Race

I have to set the record straight. Even though I oppose many European practices, I do not hate them. Contrary to popular belief, I don’t have this burning sensation of white hate inside my soul that is driving me to seek knowledge about my history, my present and my future.

As a matter of fact, too many blacks are driven by hate. This hate causes them to crash before they get to their destinations of insight or reform. I’m a firm believer that hate impedes your judgment and directs your mind toward notions it wouldn’t otherwise consider.

I certainly understand those blacks who have been wrapped up in a tornado of hate because they could not escape the encircling winds of truth about the destructive hand of the white man. I also understand that extracting hate from an informed black person with a high level of black consciousness would involve transcending race. But transcending race in this society is like breaking out of a glass box.

Nevertheless, other than not wanting hate to be the weed that stunts my intellectual growth, I don’t hate white folk because I’m a Christian. How can you hate a group of people for being who they are? Similarly, how can you hate a turtle because it won’t keep up? That would be like parents hating their children because they are different. All of our children aren’t the same. Europeans are completely different from Asians who are completely different from Hispanics and so on and so forth

Europeans are simply a different breed of human. They are socialized to be aggressive people. They are taught to live by the credo, “survival of the fittest.” They are raised to be racist.

Caucasians make up only 10 percent of the world’s population and that small percentage of people have recessive genes. Therefore they’re facing extinction. Whites have tried to level the playing field with the AIDS virus and cloning, but they know these deterrents will only get them so far. This is where the murder, psychological brainwashing and deception comes into play.

Europeans are trying to survive and I can’t hate them for that. However, I’m not going to just sit back and let them physically, mentally, socially, spiritually and economically destroy my people.

Although I don’t hate whites, I would still prefer to be in the field as opposed to the house.

Wait, your first link is talking about an entirely optional curriculum? What's the problem exactly?

OP is asking for any district. Also, for some reason they want to make it mandatory for college which is just inane duplication even if they eventually create an AP ethnics exam for it.

Gov. Gavin Newsom signed legislation Friday making California the first state to require all students to complete a semester-long course in ethnic studies to earn a high school diploma.

The mandate will take effect starting with the graduating class of 2029-30, although high schools must start to offer courses starting in the 2025-26 school year. Hundreds of high schools already have such courses, and Los Angeles Unified and Fresno Unified voted last year to require students to take ethnic studies.

So link the curriculum. Again, your link right here says a school can choose absolutely any curriculum it wants as long as it fits under a vague "ethnic studies" framework and is at least presented to the public, so, show us all the CRT they're teaching. This bill is lip service. It's hardly a CRT curriculum, although it certainly could be if a school wanted it to be, so feel free to link THAT. Otherwise, this still remains a bogeyman.

I knew I'd regret engaging.

Ethnic studies programs?
Is that what people think Critical Race Theory is?
So when a kid decides to take Mexican American Studies or Jewish Heritage for his high school requirement he has committed the mortal sin of CRT in these people's eyes?
Maybe beat down the poor white man by taking Asian American studies?

Or does it only count if it involves blacks?

Asking for a friend

A bogeyman that will continue to grow (you think it's close to peaking???) and result in more conservatives emptying their pockets.

The model curriculum includes the oppressor vs. oppressed dichotomy (e.g. intersectionality/ four "I"'s of oppression) which they apply with the curriculum lessons/topics.

I think this suffices for summation from the UC Course Outline material(link above): "One of the main focuses of ethnic studies is translating historical lessons and critical race theory into direct action for social justice".

So....
After a century of pushing "States rights" narratives resulted in a massive dead end in the early 21st century, Southern groups and related national organizations adopted a different tactic.
They partnered with Foxnews and GOP introduced a "conversation" to diminish any sort of discussions of blacks in America.

As origins of the states right and other narratives to re-write history books became more widely known and the influence of those narratives faltered with the general public, historians began to gather a deeper understanding of the interrelated economic, social and legal impacts of events in the nations past related to incorporation of various ethnicities into the nations populace.

This pissed off white nationalist organizations who after failing in their efforts to re-write American history with fairy tale bullshit shat out of the festering vagina of "Southern Belles" are faced with historians, legal scholars, anthropologists and economists working together.

Thanks to the internet, we now have millions of enablers to these groups
"We shouldn't be talking about it!!! It's divisive!!!!"
"I skimmed a web page and I found a term that makes me upset and now I'm going to try and convince you that term means something simple and that it treacherous"

Interesting that nutters who complain about "canceling" actually just cancel stuff that don't like.

I don't think anyone can name a district that has CRT on it's curriculum because CRT is not a course or curriculum; it is a practice. CRT is an approach to looking at U.S. society with a belief that racism is at the core of its laws and institutions.

CRT claims that the US is a 'white supremacy system,' designed by white Europeans 'for the purpose of assigning and maintaining white skin access to power and privilege.'

It states that white Americans have been subjected to 'racist conditioning' that indoctrinates them into 'white supremacy.'

The program summarizes white supremacy through a list of qualities including 'individualism,' 'objectivity,' 'paternalism,' 'defensiveness,' 'power hoarding,' 'right to comfort, 'and 'worship of the written word'.

It teaches whites to believe that they are oppressors and that they are guilty of 'white privilege' and 'internalized racial superiority'.

It's an idea of treating people differently based on their race.

It teaches racism against perceived racists?

Etc...

(Much of this was plagiarized to save time)

They can't name a district because it doesn't exist in school districts. Law is a practice but early courses are taught in high school. The so called self names similarities to CRT are complete bullshit. Texas used that to get some MLK teachings banned.

The ultimate objective to to permeate a new dog whistle and at the same time get the history of black people in this country erased or completely whitewashed.

White people in the US get to write history and they can't get what happened < 1 year ago correct (Jan 6 insurrection). If they can't get that right how can we trust then with hundreds of years of history??

So where is it “practiced?

As with everything else, it's going to be practiced wherever it is believed to be true by those we've trusted as instructors and educators.

Living in a conservative Christian area, I see many examples of educators passing on their moral/religious beliefs to students. I wouldn't, however, have firsthand knowledge of CRT in practice. We just don't do that around here.

A few quick examples of CRT practice from recent news articles would include incidents like what happened at R.I. Meyerholz Elementary School in California, where third graders were told to see themselves as either oppressor or oppressed.

The case where Ndona Muboyayi, a black mother in Evanston, IL, who is pushing back on her children’s’ school for teaching them that, if you’re Black, “You can’t get ahead” in life.

In the form of a new math curriculum put forth by the state of Oregon that considers expecting black kids to get the right answer a form of white supremacy.

The Arizona Department of Education created a program for parents to ensure their children aren’t racist. The “equity toolkit” claims that babies as young as 3 months old can be racist because “they look more at faces that match the face of their caregiver.” The materials also insist that people who “have a black friend, partner, or child” can “still be racist.”

The San Diego Unified School District pushed training that told white teachers they were guilty of “spirit murdering” black children and abolished due dates for homework in an attempt to become “an anti-racist school district.”

If you strongly believe in something, it will come out in your discussions. Don't believe me, try talking to a vegan. Lol
