I absolutely encourage all current and future Republican voters to forgo all vaccines for their freedom. I also encourage them to stop wearing seatbelts, as those things literally restrain you and take away your freedom of choice and movement.

I'm not so sure about that - I think if COVID were deadlier it would both scare more people into compliance and it would burn out much faster.

Possibly. I'm not a virologist but I suspect the greatest issue with covid is it spreads much more efficiently when people are asymptomatic or presymptomatic; I don't know if there's any correlation with virulence and severity of disease but I suspect there isn't. I don't believe believe SARS and MERS spread (from what I recall) through airborne mechanisms.

EDIT: I was wrong, at least for MERS, which is suspected to have significant airborne transmission:

This comment probably makes me a shitty person, but I'm hoping that bar graph shows higher death counts in the red line. This will either force them to acknowledge that Covid-19 is real, or they all fucking die so the rest of us can live. Because at this point, I'm just so damn tired.

A lot of these nuts actually think the hospitals are killing them (instead of the virus) and telling each other not to take medications, oxygen, go on a vent, etc.

And there are many who claim that the reason of death being Covid-19 is falsified. And that when you complain, the doctors change the reason of death. I just don't know what to say.

Walking past a local school today I noticed lots of leaflets lying in the gutter, urging parents not to let their children be vaccinated, and claiming tens of thousands have died of the vaccine and it's been hushed-up. I really don't know who these people are (seems like they are a weird coalition of far-right crazies, just-plain-crazies, and even some groups within the black community) but they are very active about sticking up fly-posters (which I see all over the place) and distributing their mad leaflets (all professionally-printed).
