I agree with this one. TOOL's version is so freaking awesome I could cry. Metallica's Turn The Page is another great cover.

Forgot who redid it and the orignal, but I have heard both and hte new one is way better.

I think you are referring to the version by Ugly Kid Joe back in the mid-90's.

And the original was by Neil Diamond.

is amazing.
It captures the essence of Joe Jackson, possibly better than Joe did.
I am am sure he is pleased with this vertion. How ever, if you weren't a fan of the orginal, it probably comes across differently.

Uh..nobody does Joe Jackson songs better than Joe Jackson

Brown Eyed Girl---- Van Morrison. Buffet isn't even in the same league as Van Morrison. Morrison is a great Blues Ballader and Buffet is a Novelty act at best(Cheeseburger in Paradise) and Buffet even doing a Van Morrison song is an affront to anybody that loves music.

Werd on that shizzle, motha.

Heh, anywho... More Today Than Yesterday - Goldfinger
And probably already listed: All Along The Watchtower - DMB (I'll probably get flamed by red dawn from attempting this jimi original but they did a really good job and might not be better, but still worth mentioning!)

*Edit: I'm such a fvcking noob...that's not by jimi originally, but his version IS good. Disregard my stupidity.

That's a Dylan Original. And we all know that Dave Mathews is the Jimi Hendrix of Rythym Guitar

By the way, wtf does shizzle mean? Is that suppose to be black lingo used by White and Asian wannabes?

Please tell me you didn't just say that. Puff Daddy didn't cover a song called "Missing You". He stole the hook from the Police's "Every Breath You Take". sampled it, and turned it into a really bad rap song. Even if you were to like that song, it's still not a "cover".

Maybe I should cut Puff some slack seeing as he "invented the remix" and all.

just to stir up some controversy: anyone who thinks that a beatles original is better than any cover is brain washed/psychotic (also includes any john lennon or wings songs)
