Goldfinger's cover of Joe Jackson's "Is She Really Going Out With Him?"
is amazing.
It captures the essence of Joe Jackson, possibly better than Joe did.
I am am sure he is pleased with this vertion. How ever, if you weren't a fan of the orginal, it probably comes across differently.

almost any dylan song.... "live and let die" G 'n R cover

I couldn't tell if you were saying that the original live and let die was dylan, because the original live and let die was Paul McCartney when he was in Wings.

Also, All Beatles songs are better in their original form than in their covers. Anyone who thinks otherwise is psychotic.

in fact most songs are better in their original version.

the only one I can think of that comes close is Ugly Kid Joe's version of Cat's Cradle, the original version is by Harry Chapin.

NOT!

Of course we've all got out opinions. . .

EDIT: Same goes for "with a little help from my friends."

How can you fade on the Beatles and Zeppelin?

Anyone ever heard of Eva Cassidy? She had remade quite of few songs before she died.. She was a Jazz singer or something who died of cancer and never got popular until after her death.. Her best ones where:

Fields of Gold
What a Wonderful World
Time After Time

I was very, very, very surprised I liked her music. I seen a special n her on Nightline a few years ago and loved the music.. This coming from a Heavy Metal, Hard Rock freak..

Well I'm sure there are a lot but besides some ones already listed the only one coming to mind is:

James Taylor - "You've Got a Friend" (Carole King)

Normally I would agree, I'm not one for covers, or cover bands (although I've been guilty of playing a one here or there in a few bands)...
but the Replicants(Members of Failure and Tool) cover of McCartney's Silly Love Songs actually makes it a good song. Maynard from Tool singing on it is pretty cool..... Although, it's not a Beatles tune, so therefore our little rule dosen't apply. ;)This album is actually one of the better albums of all covers that I've heard. The version of 'How do you sleep?' (Lennon) is pretty good, as well as theCars and Syd Barrett songs too.

This is correct.

Anyone who covered any song by Bob Dylan counts. Especially "All Along the Watch Tower". It was the same band, but the second version of "Revolution 1" was better too.
