My sis had a 5.0 fun little car. Not something a 14 yr old like me at the time shoulda been driving though. 😱
 
I would have to say Mustang - and of those I would have to say either the 1966 GT350H, the 1968 GT500KR, or the '69/'70 Boss 429. If I was going 'Vette - it would have to be a '64 convertible. New cars may be more reliable and offer better performance (in general) but they don't have the style and character of the classics, IMHO.
 
The mustang 04 or 03 cobra... not the ugly retro 05 gt's :/. The new vettes however look pretty good and sound good/runs well.
 
HAVE YOU SEEN THE C6 IN PERSON!? omg that car is undeniably HOT. I probably won't get the Z06 because i'll never ever use that kind of power, or ever have a need for it lol. The stock C6 is just fine, not that the Z06 is not an absolute bonage material, because it is 😛.

I see too many mustangs around now, and I really hate to say this, but it's starting to lose its coolness since i see like 3-5 everyday now lol. But the other day, i saw a custom deep purple '06 mustang SALEEN. holy phok i wanted to follow the car but i was stopped at a light so i was eternally sad 🙁.

k that said, it's obvious that i'd choose the C6 vette.

No you aren't- you said "year is not an issue."

But assuming both cars are the same year, I would always take the Vette, however given the choice between a cheesy 80's Vette and a 60's Mustang is about the only condition where I would opt for a Mustang.

Your OP said money or year is not an issue. The best years for both makes are the 2005-2006 years as far as performance, comfort and road manners anyway. The only ones that are comparable would be the classics and only in price. Anything made after say 1973 are not comparable. Actually, I don't think the classics are either quite frankly. The Vettes were always better than the Stangs. They just aren't in the same league.
