My CLI has been sitting all night long and didn't get a single WU to crunch on. Is it all over now and are we done? Did anybody of you folks get WUs in the last 14 hours?

My client seems to work fine for the moment, but the server has been :thumbsup: and :thumbsdown: all the time...

And to think... I was only running this on about 10 computers when I was finally passed... Though I don't know if I should count one, considering it's a Cyrix 6x86 200. So... anyone want to help out the underdog instead? 😀

My cause? Primarily raising funds to get my less that fortunate friend a new computer. He's currently using an old Gateway Solo all-in-one machine. The specs: AMD K6-2 400, 256 MB of RAM. He's actually helping out on the project as well (and contributing what he can). That's a worthy cause, isn't it?

I'm in the # 2 spot. Well, last I checked anyway... don't know what the third place guy has been doing since the top 10 list has been flaky...

Couldn't hurt to try to gain some support, huh? Can't really blame a guy for trying, can you?

Besdies, I don't really stand a chance to get to #1 now anyway because he's gained access to so much more computing power (here and HardOCP). My team of 14 computers can't compete with that.

Oh, and as a bit of clarification, even though I work for a help desk doesn't mean I'm using company resources for this project. I resent being accused of abusing University resources for personal gain. That's simply wrong and against University policy.

Bruce never told us a word about him getting help from HardOCP as well. So basically, it wasn't all TA, it was TA and HardOCP. As of now, I completly stoped this project on all my machines. Bruce, that is the most f***ed up thing I've seen in quite a while. Let me guess, you don't give a **** about TA or HardOCP, maybe even about DC in general, you just wanna have your freakin' 500$ and get your laptop, right?

I don't know if that was your intent, genericasian, to point out that Bruce's also working with HardOCP, but thx for doing it anyway. Those of you AT folks who still want to contribute to this project, I really suggest you go for genericasian and not Bruce anymore.

What do you guys think?

I really don't think he has played this one fair & square, but on the other hand haven't made any real promises as to our TeAm. The "sound" of his first post made it sound like he would crunch F@H for us with the laptop he might buy for the prize, but does not actually write that.
EDIT#2: Maybe he did not mean it bad and maybe he did, but I really think he should have told us & HardOCP and any other team he may have recruited, that he was asking all around the net.

For my part I think I will just stop this project entirely as of right now, and not contribute any further to anyone of the members. (Haven't made my mind up entirely yet)
