As of now, we're leading by 5000 points. How much of a lead shall we give "workingnonstop" or shall we just do it like it says on the page: the contest will stop either on April 11th or when all WUs are crunched ?

I would say
when all WUs are crunched

I know... I'm trying hard to update the stats for this thread... 😉

No luck so far, and I'm off for some sleep now. :moon:

WTF just happened!?!?! did anyone else total jobs counter on their window just go back to 1 like mine?

Update: My total jobs counter keeps boucing back and forth between "0" "1" and "154k" I think the server is officially borked thanks to TA

Has been like that for the whole day ... at one point it really shocked me but once in a while the corect 156k pop up again so I guess it's just a TA crushed server  !!

Couldn't resist........... (didn't try very hard)

Only a day or so for me... hope ya win....

Had to laugh out loud at the AT effect on the project

You need something like WinZIP to unzip that archive. Afterwards, there's an exe file called "CTC_Contest.exe". That's the one you want to run and enter the email of "workingnonstop" when asked for.

Ok the thing says "Just unzip and run"

http://www.7internet.co.uk/public/ctc_contest/CTC_Contest_Bin.rar

What am I really supposed to do with this .rar file? My computer doesn't seem to think I can "Just unzip and run" it.

You need to use something like WinRar to extract rar files 🙂

Ok, that makes a little more sense. Winzip wouldn't touch it.

Thanks

edit: up and running (just for a day or two though)

Im gonna have to stop running this, as just in the less than 24hrs ive been running it, its used over 350mb of bandwidth, which is too much when i have a 20gb monthly limit between 3 ppl...
Sorry 🙁

wonder how many WU's the project has...betcha they didn't expect someone to chew thru 100,000 a day 😀

Darn... It's hard to get those data for stats. I suppose it's the "TA (DoS) Effect" 😉
On a sidenote it also looks like "cc323@cornell.edu" and "hl336@cornell.edu" has increased their production.

BTW: Does anyone have the data for stats from before or at the time we started this?
